Alex Wood (7-8) will be looking to quickly get over his roughest start of the year when the Atlanta Braves go up against Zack Greinke (12-6) and the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night.

Last Friday, Alex Wood gave up five runs (four earned) in five innings against the San Diego Padres and suffered his eighth loss of the year. He gave up a season-high 12 hits in that game and walked one while striking out four. Wood still has a decent 3.44 ERA on the season and he has struck out 94 batters in 96.2 innings on the mound.

Dodgers infielder Justin Turner has faced Wood more than any of his teammates, but he is just 1-for-6 against him with an RBI and a strikeout. Yasiel Puig is 1-for-1 against him with a double.

Zack Greinke had a solid outing against the San Francisco Giants on the road last Friday and picked up an easy win. He pitched seven shutout innings in that start and gave up just four hits while walking one and striking out 10. The right-hander has one of the best ERAs in the league at 2.74 and he has struck out 140 batters in 131.1 innings.

Braves outfielder has hit well against Greinke in the past, going 4-for-23 against him with a double, a home run and two RBI. His brother, B.J. Upton, is 4-for-23 against him with 11 strikeouts.
