Left-hander Mike Minor will be looking to pick up his first win since early May when he and the Atlanta Braves face Juan Nicasio and the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday night.

Last Wednesday, Mike Minor pitched very well against the Seattle Mariners, but he got no runs from his offense and took his fourth loss of the year. Minor went seven innings in that game and allowed just one run on five hits while walking three and striking out a season-high 10 batters. He may have a 2-4 record on the season right now, but he also has a very solid 3.07 ERA and has struck out 40 batters in 44 innings.

All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has hit a home run off of Minor in his career, but he is just 1-for-10 against him overall. Michael Cuddyer is 4-for-9 against him with a double, two home runs and five RBI.

Juan Nicasio had his worst start of the season last week against the Arizona Diamondbacks when he allowed a season-high seven earned runs against them in just 5.1 innings of work. He gave up 11 hits in that outing and walked one while striking out three. He now has a 5-4 record with a 4.68 ERA on the season.

Nicasio will not be looking forward to facing Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman, who has five hits in nine at-bats against him with a double, a triple and three home runs.
