Mike Minor (5-8) is coming off of one of his better starts of the year and will look to keep that momentum going when he and the Atlanta Braves face Mat Latos (4-3) and the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night.

Left-hander Mike Minor had a good outing against the Oakland Athletics last weekend and ended up coming away with his fifth win of the season. He went seven innings in that game and gave up two runs on four hits while striking out seven batters and walking two. He lowered his ERA to 5.16 with that win and he has struck out 101 batters in 111.2 innings this season.

Reds shortstop Zack Cozart has four hits in his 10 at-bats versus Minor with a triple, and two solo home runs. Todd Frazier is 0-for-8 against him in his career with a walk and five strikeouts.

Mat Latos didn't pitch very well against the Colorado Rockies on the road on Sunday, but he ended up taking a no decision rather than a loss. He went five innings in that game and allowed three runs on eight base hits while walking three batters and striking out seven. He now has a 3.10 ERA and he has only given up 59 hits in 78.1 innings.

Braves outfielder Justin Upton has six hits in 14 at-bats against Latos in his career with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. First baseman Freddie Freeman is 7-for-12 against him with three doubles and six RBI.
