Thursday night, Mike Minor takes the mound for the Atlanta Braves as they square off against Jake Peavy and the Boston Red Sox. Minor makes his 6th start as Peavy makes his 11th. 

Mike Minor’s record fell to 2 – 3 with an ERA of 3.90 after losing his last start. In that outing, Minor allowed 3 runs on 4 hits (including 2 homers) in 6.1 innings of work as he walked 3 and struck out 6.  Last season, Minor went 13 - 9 with an ERA of 3.21 in 32 starts.

In 2013, Peavy won his only start against the Braves after allowing 4 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings.  Peavy will have to watch out for Atlanta’s Justin Upton as Upton is 6 of 9 with a homer and 5 RBIs against the veteran right-hander.
