31-year-old righty Ervin Santana and the Atlanta Braves will be going up against Wade Miley and the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

Ervin Santana won his fifth game of the season last weekend when he was able to beat the Miami Marlins on the road. He went six innings in that start and gave up three earned runs on seven hits while striking out four and walking two. After a strong start to his season, Santana has cooled off quite a bit and now has a 4.10 ERA through 63.2 innings on the year.

Veteran Eric Chavez has done pretty well against Santana in his career, going 11-for-33 with three doubles and three RBI. Aaron Hill has just six hits in 31 at-bats against the right-hander with a homer and three strikeouts.

Lefty Wade Miley gave up four runs in six innings of work against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday and ended up suffering his sixth loss of the season. He gave up eight hits in that outing and walked no one while striking out nine. He has 72 strikeouts in 81.2 innings this year, but his 4.85 ERA is well above is 3.75 career ERA.

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman is 2-for-6 against Miley with a double, a home run and two RBI. Chris Johnson has three hits in five at-bats against Miley in his career with a home run and three RBI.
