Arizona Diamondbacks lefty Wade Miley will be going up against Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday night.

Wade Miley lost for the fourth time this season when he was defeated by the Los Angeles Dodgers at home last week. He ended up making it through six innings in that start and gave up four earned runs on seven hits while striking out three and walking three. Miley gave up two home runs in that game and has now given up 10 long balls on the season through 62 innings.

Mark Ellis has faced Miley more than any of the other Cardinals and he is 10-for-23 against him with a double, four home runs and four RBI. Allen Craig has just one single in six plate appearances against Miley.

The Atlanta Braves had a tough time against Lance Lynn last week as he was able to pitch seven strong innings against them and pick up his fifth win of the season. He allowed just two runs on seven hits in that start while striking out three and walking two. He now has a 5-2 record on the year and he has struck out 8.8 batters per nine innings through 54 innings.

Gerardo Parra has had more success against Lynn than any of his Diamondback teammates by going 5-for-9 against him with a double, two triples and a home run.
