On Friday night, Mike Bolsinger will try to win his first game since late April when he and the Arizona Diamondbacks take on Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants.

Rookie Mike Bolsinger lost his third game in a row on Saturday when he was defeated by the Atlanta Braves on the road. He could only make it through 3.2 innings in that start and gave up seven runs (five earned) on 10 hits while striking out five batters and walking two. Through nine starts, Bolsinger is 1-5 with a 5.13 ERA and he has given up 58 hits in his 47.1 innings of work.

The Giants are one of the teams that Bolsinger has already faced in his short career. He lost that start against them, but he only gave up one run to them in 7.2 innings.

Tim Lincecum picked up his third straight win on Sunday when he beat the San Diego Padres on the road. He went 6.1 innings in that outing and gave up just one run on three hits while walking four batters and striking out six. On the season, Lincecum is now 8-5 and has struck out 95 hitters in 106 innings.

One player on the Diamondbacks who Lincecum does not like facing is third baseman Paul Goldschmidt, who has a whopping 15 hits in 26 at-bats against him with two doubles and seven home runs.
