On Saturday night, Arizona Diamondbacks starter Josh Collmenter will be going for his seventh win of the season when he faces off against Eric Stults and the San Diego Padres.

In his last start, Josh Collmenter beat the San Francisco Giants at home after giving up just one run to them in five innings of work. He allowed four hits in that game while walking four batters and striking out four. Collmenter is 6-4 this year for the Diamondbacks, but his strikeout rate is down to 5.4 strikeouts per nine innings, which is nearly three strikeouts lower than it was in 2013.

One player on the Padres who Collmenter does not like facing is veteran Seth Smith, who is 5-for-11 against him with a double, a triple and a home run. Third baseman Chase Headley is hitless in five at-bats against Collmenter with three strikeouts.

Eric Stults pitched pretty well against the Los Angeles Dodgers last Sunday, but he still ended up picking up his fifth loss in a row and his 10th loss on the season. In that game against the Dodgers, he pitched seven innings and allowed two runs on six hits while walking three and striking out five. Stults has a 5.49 ERA through 82 innings this season and he has only received 2.52 runs of run support from his offense.

Diamondbacks veteran Martin Prado is 9-for-24 against Stults in his career with two doubles, a triple and a home run.
