Rookie left-hander Andrew Chafin (0-0) will be making the third start of his career when he and the Arizona Diamondbacks take on Kyle Gibson (12-11) and the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

Last Wednesday, Andrew Chafin pitched six pretty good innings against the San Francisco Giants and ended up with a no decision. He gave up two runs on three hits in that game while striking out two and walking four. Chafin has a 1.64 ERA through two starts and he has only given up six hits in 11 innings of work while walking six batters he's faced.

The Twins will be getting their first chance to go up against Chafin on Tuesday night. So far this year, he has held right-handed hitters to just a .148 batting average and a .429 OPS.

Second-year starter Kyle Gibson picked up the win over the Detroit Tigers last Wednesday after pitching six decent innings. He allowed four runs on seven hits in that game while striking out three batters and walking three. Gibson has a 4.64 ERA this year and he has only been able to strike out 5.1 batters per nine innings.

Diamondbacks left fielder Mark Trumbo has one hit in his two at-bats against Gibson with a solo home run. All of the other Diamondbacks will be facing the right-hander for the first time on Tuesday.
