Josh Collmenter (10-8), who is 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA this month, will make the start for the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday night when they go up against veteran Ricky Nolasco (5-11) and the Minnesota Twins.

Right-hander Josh Collmenter ended up losing his start against the San Francisco Giants last Tuesday despite pitching very well in the game. He made it through eight innings in that outing and gave up just two runs on seven hits while walking no one and striking out one. He lowered his ERA to 3.60 in that game and he has only walked 2.1 batters per nine innings this year.

Twins catcher Kurt Suzuki is hitless in four at-bats against Collmenter with no walks and three strikeouts. None of the other Twins have faced Collmenter more than three times.

Last week, Ricky Nolasco pitched eight scoreless innings against the Detroit Tigers, but he finished with just a no decision. The right-hander gave up just five hits in that outing and struck out five batters while walking one. Nolasco still has a very high 5.34 ERA through 25 starts and he has given up 189 hits in 148.1 innings.

Diamondbacks second baseman Didi Gregorius has seven hits in his 14 plate appearances versus Nolasco with two doubles and two RBI. Cliff Pennington is just 1-for-7 against him in his career with no walks and three strikeouts.
