The surprising Milwaukee Brewers will welcome the Arizona Diamondbacks to Miller Park on Monday night. The visiting Diamondbacks will send right hander Mike Bolsinger to the mound for the start, while the Brewers will counter with Matt Garza.

Bolsinger, the 26-year-old native of McKinney, Texas, will be making his 4th start and 5th appearance of the season and his career. The rookie hasn’t gotten off to the best start, allowing 12 earned runs on 26 hits and 5 walks in 18 2/3 innings. He has recorded 19 strikeouts and currently has a 5.79 ERA. This will mark the 1st time in his career he has faced the Brewers and their lineup featuring Carlos Gomez and Ryan Braun.

Garza has been one of the few players in Milwaukee not to play well in the 1st month of the 2014 season. He is 1-3 with a 5.00 ERA and has made just 2 quality starts through his first 6. His last start was cut short against the St. Louis Cardinals after he allowed 5 earned runs on 5 hits in 3 innings. Having pitched in the division before with the Chicago Cubs, Garza has a lot of experience against the current Milwaukee roster, allowing 28 hits in 106 at-bats. Aaron Hill is hitting .333 off him in 33 at-bats, while Miguel Montero is batting .417 and Gerardo Parra is hitting .364.
