Wednesday afternoon, the Arizona Diamondbacks will give the ball to Bronson Arroyo as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers and Wily Peralta.  Both pitchers will be making their 7th starts of the season. 

Bronson Arroyo evened his record to 2 - 2 and lowered his ERA to 6.03 after winning his last start.  In that outing, Arroyo pitched 7 shutout innings and gave up just 3 hits and a walk while striking out 6.  Last season, Arroyo was 14 – 12 with an ERA of 3.79 in 32 starts for the Cincinnati Reds.

In 2013, Arroyo was 2 – 0 with an ERA of 2.28 in 4 starts against the Brewers.  Milwaukee’s Aramis Ramirez has faced Arroyo 76 times and in those appearances, he is batting .224 with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs.

Wily Peralta comes into this game with a 4 – 1 record and an ERA of 2.04.  His last time out, Peralta threw 8 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 7.  If Peralta continues to impress, he will definitely improve on last season’s 11 – 15 record and 4.37 ERA in 32 starts.

In 2013, Peralta won his only start against the Diamondbacks after allowing a run on 7 hits in 7 innings of work.  Peralta will need to watch out for Arizona’s Miguel Montero.  Montero is 1 for 2 with a solo homer against Peralta.
