Left-hander Wade Miley (7-8) will attempt to pick up his first August win in three tries when he and the Arizona Diamondbacks face Henderson Alvarez (8-5) and the Miami Marlins on Saturday night.

Wade Miley had a decent start against the Colorado Rockies at home on Sunday and ended up with a no decision. He went six innings in that game and gave up three runs on five base hits while walking two batters and striking out eight. He now has a 4.61 ERA on the season and he has struck out 144 batters in 156.1 innings.

Marlins outfielder Marcell Ozuna Is 1-for-3 against Miley in his career with a double and two RBI. None of the Marlins have faced the left-hander more than three times.

Henderson Alvarez last pitched for the Marlins back on July 29, when he was able to defeat the Washington Nationals at home. He pitched seven shutout innings in that start and gave up just three hits while walking four and striking out four. He currently owns a 2.48 ERA and he has only given up eight home runs in 137.2 innings of work.

Diamondbacks outfielder Mark Trumbo is hitless against Alvarez in nine at-bats with no walks and two strikeouts. Jordan Pacheco is 2-for-2 against the right-hander with one RBI, while Cliff Pennington is just 1-for-6 against him with no walks and one strikeout.
