Arizona Diamondbacks rookie Chase Anderson will be looking to keep his undefeated record intact on Friday night when he faces Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

26-year-old Chase Anderson continued his great start to his Major League career last weekend against the Atlanta Braves by pitching seven strong innings against them and he picked up his fifth win of the year. He allowed just two runs in that game and struck out a season-high eight batters while walking just one. Anderson is 5-0 through five starts and has a 3.14 ERA.

The Dodgers are one of the few teams that have already gotten to get a look at Anderson this season. Yasiel Puig went 1-for-3 against him in that game with a home runs, two RBI and two strikeouts.

Clayton Kershaw didn't have a great start against the Colorado Rockies last Sunday, but he did end up getting his fifth win after going five innings and giving up just one run. He struck out nine, walked no one and gave up a home run in that start. The left-hander is now 5-2 on the season and has struck out 64 batters in 48.1 innings while only giving up four home runs.

Cody Ross is one of only a few Diamondbacks who has done well against Kershaw, going 8-for-23 with three doubles and four walks. Paul Goldschmidt is the only player on Arizona who has been able to hit a home run off of Kershaw.
