Josh Collmenter will be going for his third consecutive win on Wednesday when he and the Arizona Diamondbacks take on Jordan Lyles and the Colorado Rockies.

Josh Collmenter was at his very best last Friday when he picked up the first shutout of his career against the Cincinnati Reds at home. He allowed just three hits in that start and struck out five while walking no one. He now has a 4-2 record on the year and has only given up 14 walks in 62 innings of work.

All-Star shortstop Troy Tulowitzki has been able to connect for a home run against Collmenter in his career, but he is just 3-for-14 overall against him. Carlos Gonzalez, on the other hand, has a .417 batting average in 12 at-bats against him with two home runs and three RBI.

Big right-hander Jordan Lyles ended up with a no decision against the Philadelphia Phillies last week after giving up two runs in five innings. The Phillies got five hits against him and he struck out five of them while walking four. Lyles is still 5-1 on the season and he has only given up four long balls in 65 innings.

Diamondbacks catcher Miguel Montero has five hits in 10 at-bats against Lyles in his career with two doubles and four RBI. Outfielder Gerardo Parra is 5-for-11 against the big right-hander with two doubles.
