Rookie right-hander Chase Anderson (9-6), who has a 2.65 ERA in his last three starts, will be on the mound for the Arizona Diamondbacks when they go up against Jordan Lyles (6-3) and the Colorado Rockies on Friday night.

Last weekend, Chase Anderson pitched five decent innings against the San Diego Padres at home and picked up the win. He gave up two runs on four base hits in that game while walking three batters and striking out five. On the year, Anderson has a 3.70 ERA through 20 starts and he has struck out 100 batters in 109.1 innings of work.

Rockies outfielder Charlie Blackmon is just 1-for-8 against Anderson in his career with a walk, a solo home run and a strikeout. Veteran first baseman Justin Morneau is 3-for-9 against him with a double and no strikeouts.

Jordan Lyles' winless streak stretched to seven games on Sunday when he was beaten by the St. Louis Cardinals on the road. He went six innings in that start and gave up three runs on nine hits while striking out four hitters and walking two. Lyles has only given up 12 home runs in 115.1 innings this season and he now has a 4.21 ERA.

Diamondbacks outfielder Mark Trumbo has four hits in nine plate appearances against Lyles in his career with three home runs and six RBI. Cody Ross is just 1-for-6 against him with two RBI and a strikeout.
