Brandon McCarthy will be looking to make it two wins in a row when he and the Arizona Diamondbacks go up against Andre Rienzo and the Chicago White Sox on Friday night.

Brandon McCarthy finally ended his winless streak in his seventh game of the season last Saturday by beating the San Diego Padres on the road. He pitched seven shutout innings in the win and gave up just three hits while striking out six and walking one. His ERA is now down to 4.67 and he has struck out 40 batters in 44.1 innings this season.

McCarthy has done well against Adam Dunn in their matchups, holding him to just one hit in six at-bats while striking him out three times. Alexei Ramirez is 2-for-7 against McCarthy with a home run and two RBI.

Andre Rienzo could only make it through 4.2 innings on Sunday against the Cleveland Indians and ended up with the no decision. In that outing, Rienzo gave up three earned runs on seven hits while striking out two and walking four. He is still 2-0 on the season, but his ERA has jumped up to 4.50.

The White Sox, who have never faced Rienzo, can look forward to a lot of fastballs and cutters that range from 87-91 mph. He will also mix in his 77 mph curveball from time to time.
