There are many good handicapping services out there, but here are some things to look out for. Picks, as with any purchase, you typically get what you pay for. If someone is charging you $20 for a week of picks, you are most likely not getting picks from a professional handicapper. Watch out for services that have you call them for free picks and then immediately want your phone number to call you back. These are typically "boiler room" operations that are looking for a percentage of your winnings. One of there high pressure salesmen will call you back and you will find there is nothing free about it. Do you want to be sold? Once again this is not in your best interest. Be careful of services offering different levels of picks. (Diamond, Gold, Silver) based on the idea the more you pay, the better the picks will be. The questions always remain. Why wouldn't you give everyone your best picks? Why give out the lower level of picks at all? At Doc's, we have only one set of picks for one fair price, no matter what size player you are.
