As we can see, there has been some big-time movement since the opening numbers. Houston was projected to be one of the better teams in the league, and they have been as advertised, going 5-0 and remaining the only undefeated team in the league. We've also seen St. Louis perform better than expected, with Tampa Bay really struggling, going from one of the early season favorites to the team currently with the longest odds to win the XFL Championship.
Week 6
Saturday 3/14
Houston -6.5/46.5 at New York (2:00 PM - ABC)
St Louis -3/42 at Tampa Bay (5:00 PM - Fox)
Sunday 3/15
Dallas +4.5/36 at DC (4:00 PM - FS1)
Los Angeles -3/45 at Seattle (7:00 PM - ESPN 2)
We don't really have the sexy match-up that we've had in the past two weeks, but there are a few intriguing games on the Week 6 slate. The first game of the weekend has Houston looking to stay perfect, going on the road to face the Jekyll and Hyde Gladiators and the early game on Sunday has a free-falling Dallas team hitting the road to face a DC team that has won all three of their home games thus far. The best game in the week in my opinion is the late game on Sunday night where LA travels to face Seattle. LA enters the game with a 2-3 record, while Seattle comes into the contest at 1-4. This wouldn't seem like a big game, but 2-3 is currently good for second place in the division. And with the top two teams advancing to the playoffs, these two could be in a log jam with Dallas for that second spot, depending on what happens this week, with all three teams looking up at first place Houston. It's also the game where we will have our Week 6 Free Play. It should be noted that this game will be played with no fans in the stands due to what's going on with the Corona virus.
Take #407/408 Los Angeles Wildcats vs Seattle Dragons Over 45 (7:00 PM, Sunday, March 15, ESPN 2)
If not for PJ Walker in Houston, LA QB Josh Johnson might be the league MVP. He was excellent in the Wildcats win last week over Tampa and he's currently second in the league in passing yards and he leads the league with an impressive QBR of 106.8. He's also only been picked off twice and has eleven TD passes. As for Seattle, they've been fine on offense, sitting at third in the league with 12 TD's and the unit looked better as a whole last week as they played Houston pretty tough with BJ Daniels getting his first start under center. The reason that these two teams are a combined 3-7 is because they can't stop anyone. Seattle is tied with Tampa, leading the league in TD's allowed with 15 and the Wildcats are right behind them giving up 14 of their own. Those numbers have us on the over in this one as we think both teams will get up and down the field with ease in Seattle on Sunday night.
Alan Harris has had a successful first half of the XFL season, turning a profit of $890 for his $100 players. Jump on his Week 6 plays or his rest of the season package here: https://secure.docsports.com/order/index.php?ptag=7897092257721287
