As we are just a day away now from the 2024 NFL Draft, the first selection is all but a formality at this point. USC Trojan Caleb Williams is nearly a million to 1 betting favorite to be the first overall pick.

After him, though, the next several selections are wide open. Our experts are all over those selections. Today, I wanted to cover some of the wackier prop bets that are becoming available by the minute as we approach Thursday evening.

Our 1st Round prop bets for the 2024 NFL Draft are different, and there will obviously be betting limits, but I see value all over them. Whether we are betting on the primary color of Wiliams' nail polish, answering whether or not he will cry, or simply betting on how many cats and/or dogs are shown throughout the round, there is value to be had.

Primary Color of Caleb Williams Nail Polish

Black: +150

Orange: +200

White: +500

Pink: +600

Blue: +700

Green: +1000

This one surprised me, and I don't mean the bet itself, but instead, the plus money odds on black to be the primary nail polish color for Williams.

The Chicago Bears traded Justin Fields. And ever since then, we have all assumed that they will draft Williams with the first overall pick.

Several months ago, Williams shocked the media when he said he did not want to play for the Bears. He has since "rephrased" his feelings on the situation and said he would be excited to play in Chicago.

That tells me that the color orange is live. With the odds so close to black, we have to stick with the old adage.

Pick: Black (+150)

Who Will the #1 Overall Pick Hug First?

Mom: +125

Dad: +150

Girlfriend: +600

Agent: +1000

Mom opened the as the favorite, but with juice at (-125). The money has come in on pops over the past couple of weeks.

That only ripens the pot for us. The agent and the girlfriend aren’t in play here. I am tempted to play both the mom and dad.

After looking at some photos of him and his family, he is always next to his mother with his arm around her. The only time he is doing that with dad is when it’s just them.

I don't have insider information here, and this is a Google-level handicap, but all we need to get to is a 50% probability of Williams hugging his mother first, and we have our bet.

Will the #1 Overall Pick Cry?

Yes: +150

I want to say yes, considering he looks like he was an emo kid in high school, but he has known about this for a while. We spoke about it earlier being all but a formality.

Let’s pass on this one.

How Many Cats Will Be Shown During Round 1?

Under 1 Cat: -200

Over 1 Cat: +100

Painted nails, crying, and now cats. Hey, if it makes dollars, it makes sense.

One of these 30+ players will have a cat or two lying around somewhere. Felines sleep for the majority of the day. They are also startled easily. So, we have a good chance of one darting across our screen somewhere.

Pick: Over 1 Cat (+100)

How Many Dogs Will Be Shown During Round 1?

Over 2 Dogs: -120

Under 2 Dogs: +100

We have to go with the over here, right? At least three dogs will make their way onto your screen. Except for maybe Colombia, the United States loves dogs more than any other country in the world.

If we are betting on at least two cats to be seen, we have to go with three dogs on the night.

Who Smiles First?

Bill Belichick: -120

Nick Saban: -120

Define smile? I asked the sportsbook about this one, and they said it doesn’t have to be a teethy Tiger Woods. A smirk should cut it.

I was hoping for plus money on Bill Belichick. However, if we are getting the same odds on a guy who specializes in sales, we have to take Nick Saban. This bet won't last long. So, tune in early, and let's hope this first round goes according to plan.
