We enter August still curious about the upcoming NFL regular season and preseason as well. Super Bowl LIX is 6 months away. So, of course, we are ready to predict an exact matchup for the big game of 2025.

Hey, why not? We can put together several picks for our betting bag due to the incredibly high payouts on some of these exact matchup odds. A Super Bowl rematch between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs is the most likely scenario and pays at 13-1.

Maybe you think the Philadelphia Eagles are going to rebound in 2024. You can take them to play their close neighbor to the south, the Baltimore Ravens, for 49-1! That one is very much in the realm of possibility.

We aren’t chasing any matchups with teams who aren’t already favored to win in the postseason, and the payouts are still extraordinary. Let’s run through several of these potential Super Bowl LIX matchups, determine which have odds with the best betting value, and make a few selections for a betting ticket that should last you at least until the postseason.

Super Bowl LIX Exact Matchup Betting Odds

San Francisco 49ers vs Kansas City Chiefs: +1300

I am not saying these are the most valuable betting odds you'll see today. I will, however, tell you that if you were to bet on the Niners and Chiefs to rematch in Super Bowl LIX, these are probably the best odds you're going to get.

Neither team suffered major losses in free agency or to injury. Brock Purdy, in all likelihood, will have leveled up as a quarterback once more, and Patrick Mahomes is quickly making a case as the best to ever play the position.

San Francisco 49ers vs Baltimore Ravens: +2100

These odds are clearly much more attractive, but you need to bet on Lamar Jackson over Mahomes. It is a possibility, though, that the Ravens could get past the Chiefs in 2024. They came quite close last season. If it weren't for a few fishy calls quite late in the game, we may be talking about a different defending champion.

San Francisco 49ers vs Buffalo Bills: +2500

I believe the Buffalo Bills will be a better team this upcoming season than they were in 2023. The team caught a lot of hate from bettors due to their inconsistent play, but this they proved down the stretch that when the defense is relatively healthy, they can beat anyone.

It's actually the 49ers I can't get behind for this particular matchup. Up and down this board, you have to pay such a premium for their involvement in your Super Bowl exact matchup prediction. I would rather pay a Patrick Mahomes tax than one on the 49ers, who somehow Ferris Bueller'd their way into the Super Bowl last season.

I respect the magic they pulled off, though. The sportsbooks see the Niners now as a battle-tested team. They may be even more dominant throughout the 2024 regular season. I like the value we are getting here for a Purdy v Josh Allen Super Bowl matchup.

Pick: 49ers vs Bills

Detroit Lions vs Kansas City Chiefs: +2800

This is the first play that I really like. The Detroit Lions have an excellent opportunity this season, with all of their talent, to win the #1 seed in the playoffs. If they get it, I can see them making it to the Super Bowl. If not, quarterback Jared Goff will likely struggle to play outside in nasty winter conditions.

The Green Bay Packers are a popular pick to come out of the NFC, but I love the ground-and-pound running game of the Detroit Lions to be the difference if there is a Goff vs Jordan Love postseason duel.

Pick: Lions vs Chiefs

Dallas Cowboys vs Kansas City Chiefs: +3700

I've seen worse 37-1 betting odds, but do you really want to put your money in Dak Prescott in the postseason?

Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens: +4400

Sticking with our love for the Lions, this one here at 44-1 to play the Ravens is great. These are the #2 seeds, if you will, right now. I am all over this one.

Both teams are well-coached and have a style that's conducive to winning in wacky weather. If each of these squads is healthy come December, the race might be on for the 44-1.

Pick: Lions vs Ravens

Detroit Lions vs Los Angeles Chargers: +16000

Hey, this one could come to fruition! Just put ten bucks on this one, and you could cash 1600 in February. The Chargers had the pieces in place last season. They just hired an inept head coach. It happens.

We already know their new head coach, Jim Harbaugh, is one of the best in the game. I love the LA Chargers to have a strong bounce-back season and hopefully a trip to Super Bowl LIX.
