2023 PGA Picks: PNC Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
The PNC Championship will be the last event of the 2023 calendar year as we head down to Orlando, Florida for the two-day event. Originally known as the Father and Son Challenge, the tournament was renamed a few years back. It is an unofficial event of the PGA Tour that will have the pairs competing over 36 holes in a scramble format. To qualify for the tournament, a player must have won a major championship or The Players Championship. This week’s field will feature high-profile players such as Tiger Woods, Justin Thomas, Steve Stricker, Kelly Norda, and Vijay Singh. Singh and his son Qass will head into the event as the defending champions. Doc’s Sports will break down the best of this upcoming weekend below.

Course Characteristics of Those Who Can Win or Secure Winning Golf Bets
Team Woods +500
All eyes will be on Tiger Woods and his son Charlie this weekend as the father-son duo will be playing in this event for the fourth time. Last year, they finished T8 after winding up as the runner-up in 2021. Overall, the pair have played well at this tournament, and the Ritz-Carlton Golf Course has become one of Woods’ favorites to compete at. Tiger also looked good at the Hero World Challenge two weeks ago. Charlie is also turning into a rising star, qualifying for the National Golf Championship earlier last month. He also finished T17 at the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship. Together, the Woods’ have a serious shot at the title this upcoming weekend.
Team Daly +550
The father and son duo are looking for their second victory at the PNC Championship after defeating Team Woods by two strokes in 2021. John Daly, known for his driving ability, had five career wins on the PGA Tour. Nowadays he plays in majors and missed the cut in the three events he took part of. His son, John Patrick Daly II, has been playing golf since the age of 10. He followed in his father’s footsteps and plays at the University of Arkansas. In 2021, Daly II was ranked 27th on the Rolex American Junior Golf Association list. In October, Daly II had 18 birdies and finished T10 for Arkansas at the Stephens Cup. Look for the Daly’s to be in the mix all weekend long.
Team Kuchar +1200
Matt Kuchar and his son Cameron are regulars at this event every year and finished T5 in 2022. Kuchar’s game found top form in 2023 despite not registering a victory on tour. He made 20 cuts out of 27 events that he competed in. He tallied 10 top-25 finishes, six top-10 finishes, and one runner-up finish. This will be the fourth edition of the PNC Championship that Cameron has competed in with his father. During the 2023 season, Cameron played in the AJGA Junior at Palouse Ridge, where he finished 7th. Look for the Kuchar’s to be in the winner’s circle on Sunday.
