NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 7: Advice and Predictions
After a season full of upsets, some normality was restored in Week 6. Favorites went a perfect 14-0 straight up, keeping most of the remaining survivor pool entries still alive. It is no surprise to see that our top five selections last week had no problems getting the outright win, and four of the five covered the spread in the process. Our top pick, the Houston Texans, made quick work of the New England Patriots, demolishing them, 41-21. If you are still alive in your survivor pool, you are one of the less than 1/50 people who can say so. There are only two spreads of a touchdown or longer in Week 7, making it a very difficult week to navigate. Saying that, here are your survivor pool picks for Week 7 ranked from most to least confident.

Washington Commanders (-7.5) Over Carolina Panthers
The Commanders seem destined for their first playoff appearance since 2021, and they will have no problems dispatching the Panthers at home. Jayden Daniels and the Washington offense will put up 30+ points on a helpless Panthers defense. Washington doesn’t have too many easy wins left on the schedule, and this is the perfect time to pull the trigger on them.
Buffalo Bills (-8.5) Over Tennessee Titans
The Bills are the only other touchdown favorite this week and will be the second most confident pick you can make. Buffalo has played three straight road games and will be overjoyed at returning home for a winnable matchup. Josh Allen continues to play at a superhuman level, and there is no way the Bills get upset at home this week. They have the better offense, defense, coaching, and home field advantage.
Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) Over Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baltimore shook off their 0-2 start and has since rattled off four straight victories. Tampa Bay has a strong offense of their own, but it is still incomparable to what Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry do in the Ravens backfield. The Baltimore duo will continue to remind the league they are the best team in the AFC with a big victory on Monday Night. However, using the Ravens this week may be a foolish thing to do. They are one of the most confident picks, but there are other good options on the board, and Baltimore will be an even bigger favorite most games this season.
Jacksonville Jaguars (-5.5) Over New England Patriots
This is a pseudo-home game for the Jaguars, as they are more than comfortable with life in London. Jacksonville got embarrassed by the Bears last week across the pond, making this as close to a must win game as it can be at this stage of the season. The Jaguars have been unreliable so far, and this will probably be the only acceptable time to use them this season. Putting your survivor pool life in the hands of the 1-5 Jaguars is a risky proposition, but it is a risk worth taking this week in your survivor pool.
Cincinnati Bengals (-5) Over Cleveland Browns
The Browns are an automatic fade almost every week this season. Deshaun Watson has forgotten how to play football, and controversial coaching decisions continue to cost Cleveland games. The Bengals defense found their groove last week and will probably be able to shut down Watson and Browns regardless of how they play. On the other side of the ball, Joe Burrow and co. will run riot over a weakened Browns defensive line.
Atlanta Falcons (-3) Over Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks inability to play defense has cost them victories in the past, and this will be another great offensive performance thrown away. In this edition of the Battle of the Birds, Atlanta’s superior defense will be the difference-maker. Both of these teams can score at will, but a single Geno Smith mistake will see this game slip away from Seattle.
Denver Broncos (-1.5) Over New Orleans Saints
The Saints 2-0 start is now a distant memory, as they have been failing on both sides of the ball. The New Orleans defense has completely fallen apart, and the injury to starting quarterback Derek Carr has not helped. Denver isn’t the most complete team, but a strong defense will allow them to pull out a valuable victory. The Broncos are a fantastic survivor pool pick for this week and will not be a popular selection among the remaining entries.
Los Angeles Charger (-2.5) Over Arizona Cardinals
The Chargers offense came to life against Denver last week, and they will run straight through the Cardinals this week, too. Arizona has been able to pull off a couple upsets this year, but a primetime showing will see Justin Herbert ball out. Herbert is due for a big game in front of the nation, and this is the perfect opportunity to use up the Chargers in your survivor pool.
Pittsburgh Steelers (+1.5) Over New York Jets
The Steelers offense may be subpar, but the Jets are even worse. Aaron Rodgers has been unable to replicate his form before his injury, and a hungry Steelers defense could send him into retirement. The Jets will be playing desperate football. And when Rodgers tries to do too much, he will turn the ball over against Pittsburgh. This is exactly the type of game the Steelers have won so many times in the past, and they are a solid selection for this week.
New York Giants (+3) Over Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles barely beat the Browns last week, and they will not have the same fortune against the Giants. Malik Nabers is expected to return to the Giants lineup, and they will tighten up the NFC East with a victory. Philadelphia’s offense is flat, and the Giants are more trustworthy in a grinding game down the stretch.
Indianapolis Colts (-3.5) Over Miami Dolphins
The Colts are expected to get Anthony Richardson back in the lineup. However, regardless of who is their signal caller, they will pick up the win. The Colts have a great chance at making a surprise playoff run and cannot afford to drop a winnable game against the Dolphins. Miami is still without Tua Tagovailoa, and their offense has been dreadful as a result.
Houston Texans (+3) Over Green Bay Packers
This one should probably be left alone, but I give a slight edge to the Texans in this matchup. Both teams have strong offenses, but CJ Stroud’s ability to spread the ball will allow Houston to walk away victorious. The Packers Jaire Alexander will be able to take Stefon Diggs or Tank Dell out of the game, but the remaining wideout will feast on a vulnerable Packers secondary.
Los Angeles Rams (-5.5) Over Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders defense has been playing well below their high standard this season. While the Rams could certainly get the win here, they are relatively low on the confidence rankings. The Raiders are due to explode for a smothering defensive victory, and the Rams are the perfect candidate to do so. Play this one with caution and hope other remaining entries fall for the -5.5 point spread trap.
Detroit Lions (+2.5) Over Minnesota Vikings
The Lions and Vikings face off in one of the marquee matchups this week. Minnesota is still undefeated, but they will take their first loss of the season against the Lions. Detroit will be hungry to win a game for the injured Aidan Hutchinson. That extra motivation will result in the Vikings losing their first game of the season. Even if the Lions end up winning, there is still no reason to use them up this week.
Kansas City Chiefs (+1) Over San Francisco 49ers
This Super Bowl rematch is the last matchup you want to touch in your survivor pool. Two strong teams that should be saved for future weeks.
