NFL Survivor Pool Picks Week 11: Advice and Predictions
The NFL survivor pools continue to see entries drop out, as a trio of popular choices all lost outright last week. The Bears (-6), Giants (-6), and Falcons (-3.5) were some of the most popular week 10 selections, all of which lost outright. The Chiefs (-8), Chargers (-7), and Eagles (-7) were the only teams favored by at least a touchdown, and they all won outright. There are several big spreads in Week 11, but as you use up teams throughout the year they may not all be still available to you. Regardless of who you still have remaining, here is a comprehensive list of survivor pool picks for every game this week ranked from most to least confident.

Detroit Lions (-13) Over Jacksonville Jaguars
If you haven’t used the Lions yet this season, stop reading this article and go make this pick. The Lions remaining home games are against the Bills, Bears, and Vikings, making this the last time they will be a slam dunk play this season. This is a massive spread for a reason, as it is really hard to imagine Detroit losing this game. The Jaguars have been woeful this season, and now have Mac Jones at quarterback. This one won’t even be close.
Miami Dolphins (-7.5) Over Las Vegas Raiders
The Dolphins have been inconsistent this season, but after their Monday Night victory you can confidently pick them this week. Tua Tagovailoa has shown that Miami isn’t quite dead yet, and they have no choice but to beat the Raiders this week. The offense is just waiting for their chance to explode, and a vulnerable Raiders defense will offer little resistance.
Houston Texans (-7.5) Over Dallas Cowboys
The Texans fumbled away a victory against the Lions, but the Cowboys lacked the offense to punish Houston again this week. Houston still has a stranglehold on their division, but they will not want to drop a winnable game against the Cowboys on Monday night. However, Houston still has several easy games on their schedule so it may be wiser to look in other directions this week.
New York Jets (-3.5) Over Indianapolis Colts
As soon as this Jets team is counted out, they find a way to wriggle back into the playoff picture. They will need to be nearly perfect down the stretch to make the postseason and it all starts with a win over the lowly Colts. New York may elect to throw in the towel once they lose another game, so this may be the last opportunity to use them this season.
Denver Broncos (-2) Over Atlanta Falcons
The Broncos have dropped back to back games, but road defeats against the Chiefs and Ravens can be forgiven. However, the Falcons just dropped a game to the previously 2-7 Saints. Atlanta doesn’t have the offense needed to unlock a stiff Broncos defense. This is one of my most confident picks of the week, but Denver still has several easy games last so only make this pick if you have limited other options.
Green Bay Packers (-6) Over Chicago Bears
The Bears are freefalling at the moment, and their defense has been unable to bail out a sputtering offensive unit. Caleb Williams still needs time to develop, while Jordan Love is looking like he’s been in the NFL for a decade. The Packers need to win this game to keep pace with the Lions, and they will do exactly that in this NFC North showdown.
Minnesota Vikings (-6) Over Tennessee Titans
It’s hard to put your survivor pool life in the hands of Sam Darnold, but you can do so knowing he won’t have to do much to pick up the win. The Vikings defense carried Minnesota to a Week 10 victory despite the offense being held out of the endzone. The Titans offense is one of the worst in the entire NFL, and they will be held to single digits against the Vikings here.
New Orleans Saints (-1) Over Cleveland Browns
The Saints are a sneaky good pick to make this weekend. New Orleans beat the Falcons last week, and the Browns offense is in shambles. The Saints may not have the best offense in the league, but they will be able to benefit from the inevitable Jameis Winston turnovers. New Orleans has a road game against the Giants on the horizon, but this will be the safest time to use them up this season.
Los Angeles Rams (-4.5) Over New England Patriots
The Rams still have legitimate playoff hopes which is something that cannot be said for New England. The Patriots defense is stellar, but their lack of offense will allow the Rams to take, and keep the lead in the first half. Matthew Stafford and his offensive weapons will not be contained.
Cincinnati Bengals (+1.5) Over Los Angeles Chargers
Motivation is often used as a reason for taking a team in the NFL. While I’m not necessarily a believer in that trend, a desperate Bengals team has shown time and time again they will pull through when they need to most. The Chargers defense is overvalued after they shut down the bottom feeders, and they will be in for a shock when Joe Burrow shreds them to pieces on Sunday night.
Baltimore Ravens (-3) Over Pittsburgh Steelers
Pittsburgh is one of the hardest teams to fade in a survivor pool, so do so at your own risk. The Ravens are better on both sides of the ball, but Mike Tomlin usually finds a way to get the job done. Baltimore still has several games left where they will be big favorites, so even though I am quietly confident they will win, there are better options this week.
San Francisco 49ers (-6.5) Over Seattle Seahawks
The 49ers are probably a safe play this week, but Seattle’s offense has the potential to pull off the upset. The Seahawks are coming off their bye, and this will be a back and forth game right down to the wire. That is not what you want when your survivor pool life is on the line, and you shouldn’t need much convincing to keep the 49ers for a rainy day down the line.
Washington Commanders (+3.5) Over Philadelphia Eagles
The Commanders match up nicely against the Eagles on Thursday night in this massive NFC East faceoff. Philadelphia has looked shaky against the bottom half of the league recently, and can’t be trusted to beat an energetic Commanders team. While Washington is the official selection, Jayden Daniels has looked vulnerable in recent weeks. It’s best to look further up the list than to take a shot with the Commanders.
Buffalo Bills (-2.5) Over Kansas City Chiefs
Just don’t. Two juggernauts facing off is the last thing you want to touch in an NFL survivor pool.
