NFL Office Pool Picks Week 12 - ATS Predictions for Every Game!
The NFL season is suddenly more than 60% complete, and time is running out to dash up your office pool standings. All season long, Doc’s Sports will be providing free against the spread picks for every NFL matchup. Last week, we went a sparkling 9-5 against the spread and will be looking for more of the same this week. The favorites went 11-3 straight up last week, and a very impressive 10-4 against the spread. A total of six teams are on bye this week, but we cannot afford to take our foot off the gas at this crucial point of the season.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-4) Over Cleveland Browns
The Steelers edged past the Ravens in Week 11 but will have a much easier time against the free-falling Browns. Cleveland just got spanked by the lowly Saints last week and there is not much optimism surrounding the current Browns roster. Russell Wilson looks as good as he ever has for the Steelers, and they will strengthen their grip on the AFC North with a big win and cover. Steelers 24, Browns 14
Washington Commanders (-10) Over Dallas Cowboys
The Commanders have lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. Jayden Daniels hasn’t been able to replicate his early season form, but a hopeless Cowboys team will not give Washington much resistance. Dallas has looked dreadful on both sides of the ball and will be coming in on a short week after playing on Monday compared to the Commanders Thursday night matchup. Washington is better on both sides of the ball, and the extra rest will allow them to get the cover in a blowout victory. Commanders 31, Cowboys 10
Detroit Lions (-7.5) Over Indianapolis Colts
The Lions have three wins by 38 or more points while no one else in the league has any. Their ability to pile on the points will be too much for the Colts to overcome. Indianapolis has gotten inconsistent play from Anthony Richardson, and their defense will struggle to contain Detroit. Goff and St. Brown are a devastating duo, and this one will be over as a contest in the first half. Lions 28, Colts 14
Carolina Panthers (+11) Over Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs haven’t been covering spreads like this so far this season, and the Panthers are good enough to keep this game in single digits. Carolina beat the Giants in Week 10 and got a bye in Week 11. There will be some extra motivation for the Chiefs after they had their perfect season ruined by the Bills, but not enough for a blowout win. Kansas City relies on their defense to get wins, not their offense to run up the scoreboard. Chiefs 17, Panthers 10
Chicago Bears (+3.5) Over Minnesota Vikings
The Bears keep finding new and creative ways to lose football games. They’ve lost five games in a row and have been victim to some cruel endings. Caleb Williams has been improving throughout the season and will be able to keep things close against the Vikings. Sam Darnold’s brief MVP campaign has evaporated, and these two teams aren’t too far apart on both sides of the ball. Chicago has home-field advantage, and it will be the Bears who finally find themselves on the right side of a close game this season. Bears 21, Vikings 20
Miami Dolphins (-7) Over New England Patriots
The Dolphins have had a poor season so far, but they can get themselves right back into the AFC Wild Card race with a win over the Patriots this week. Tua Tagovailoa looks as though he is healthy, and that will be enough for the win. New England’s offense will keep things close, but a late Miami touchdown will put the game to bed. Dolphins 27, Patriots 18
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-5) Over New York Giants
The Buccaneers are getting Mike Evans back just in time for a late-season playoff push. Baker Mayfield has been running a consistent offense this season while Tommy DeVito will be making his first start of the year for the Giants. The Buccaneers may be on the road, but there is no reason to doubt them against a Giants team that has already lost to the Panthers, Bengals, and Cowboys. This spread is still more than reasonable considering the gap in class between these two NFC teams. Buccaneers 30, Giants 13
Tennessee Titans (+8) Over Houston Texans
Houston was able to beat up the Cowboys last week, but they are getting a little bit too much respect with this kind of line. The Titans have lost back-to-back games by 10 points, but they were truthfully unlucky not to secure a backdoor cover. Tennessee isn’t a good football team, but the Texans lack the ruthlessness to win by more than a touchdown. The Texans win, and the Titans cover. Texans 20, Titans 14
Denver Broncos (-5.5) Over Las Vegas Raiders
The Broncos strong defense finally has some offense to lean on. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix has been excellent for the Broncos while the Raiders have had a revolving door at signal caller. Denver is 6-3 in their last nine games, while only losing to the Chargers, Chiefs, and Ravens. The Broncos already beat the Raiders by multiple scores this season, and a venue change won’t be enough to keep this thing close. Broncos 28, Raiders 17
Arizona Cardinals (+1) Over Seattle Seahawks
The Cardinals deserve to be favorites against the Seahawks after winning four straight games. Seattle has been dreadful on the defensive side of the ball this season which will allow the Cardinals to move the ball on offense. Arizona has been able to dominate time of possession and has translated that into points on the board. Until we see them buckle on the defensive side of the ball, there is no reason to doubt them against a vulnerable Seahawks team. Cardinals 35, Seahawks 24
Green Bay Packers (-2.5) Over San Francisco 49ers
The injury to Brock Purdy looms large in this matchup. If Purdy is unable to go, the Packers will cruise to a big win. If the 49ers quarterback is good to go, this will be a tight contest down to the wire. Either way, the Packers look like the play here. This is a matchup with huge NFC Wild Card implications, and the Packers will understand they must defend their home field. Jordan Love has looked shaky recently, but I think this is the game he puts it all together for a crucial Week 12 win. Packers 27, 49ers 21
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) Over Los Angeles Rams
The Rams don’t have the physicality to match the Eagles offensive line. Philadelphia has been able to steamroll smaller defensive teams, and the Rams will struggle to slow down Hurts and Barkley. Philadelphia has won six straight games including several against current playoff teams. This is a short line for this matchup, and there is no need to overthink this one. Eagles 24, Rams 17
Los Angeles Chargers (+3) Over Baltimore Ravens
The Chargers don’t deserve this kind of line at home. They have been consistent on both sides of the ball while the Ravens have begun to show cracks down the stretch. The Chargers have an outside chance at stealing the AFC West title after the Chiefs loss last week, and they will take advantage of a Ravens team searching for offensive consistency. Chargers 17, Ravens 13
2024 Season record: 81-81-3
