The National League is filled with stars from left to right. Ronald Acuna Jr. has been red hot to start the 2023 campaign for the Atlanta Braves, and you can never count out Dave Roberts and the Dodgers. The Padres have two of the brightest young stars in the game with Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr. And I do not think anyone could have predicted the amazing start in the Steel City from the Buccos. We will analyze below the best bets and values from which teams could make a deep run in October all the way to the World Series.

Atlanta Braves +240

The Atlanta Braves might be the most complete team in all of baseball. Their rotation is led by Max Fried, Spencer Strider, Charlie Morton, and Kyle Wright. In addition to a strong rotation, the Braves may have the deepest lineup throughout the majors. Standing at 20-10 in the standings, Matt Olson, Sean Murphy, and Ozzie Albies each have eight home runs. And Ronald Acuna Jr. has been the star he has always been projected to be. Acuna Jr. is hitting .362 with five home runs, 16 RBIs and 14 stolen bases to lead the favorites to win the NL Pennant.

Los Angeles Dodgers +360

Dave Roberts always has the Dodgers in contention once September hits. The team boasts super stars in Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Max Muncy, amongst others. Freeman’s off to a solid start for the 18-13 Dodgers as he is hitting .315 and an OPS of .898. Max Muncy has shown his power, delivering 11 home runs so far in the young season. With a pitching staff led by the legendary Clayton Kershaw, there are also emerging aces in Julio Urias and Dustin May.

San Diego Padres +500

After reaching the National League Championship Series in 2022, there is no reason not to believe this team cannot go to the World Series in 2023. There is just too much talent on this roster with the likes of Juan Soto, Manny Machado, Xander Bogaerts, and Fernando Tatis Jr. Even with a mediocre start at 16-15, the Padres have missed Tatis Jr. and ace Joe Musgrove for the majority of April. They have won seven of their last 11 games and should make a deep run at the World Series. General Manager A.J. Preller also has a reputation for big moves at the deadline.

Pittsburgh Pirates +7000

There is no doubt that the biggest surprise throughout the Majors this season has been the 20-10 Pittsburgh Pirates after back-to-back 100-loss campaigns. The Buccos owe a lot of their success to their offense, which ranks fifth in runs per game even after losing their young shortstop Oneil Cruz to a fractured ankle. They have displayed power and speed as they are tied for first in the NL in extra base hits and leading all the Majors in stolen bases. Bryan Reynolds, Jack Suwinski, Connor Joe and Andrew McCutchen have given Pirates fans a reason to be excited. The rotation has also done its part with 18 quality starts and ranks ninth in rotation ERA.
