Course Characteristics of Those Who Can Win or Secure Winning Golf Bets
Pinnacle is not the most challenging course on the LPGA Tour, as it rewards creativity and features ample birdie opportunities. This event is one of two events where they only play 54 holes, winning scores are typically from 15 to 20 under par during the three-day battle. This course has been the home of this event since its inception. The course was designed by Don Seachrest and Bruce Lietzke and opened in 1988. It was redesigned in 2008 by Randy Heckenkemper. It currently has a length of 7,001 yards and is a par-71. The biggest risk/reward hole on the course is the par-5 14th hole. It requires three quality shots to have a chance at birdie. Water in front of the green limits most of the field to go for the green in two shots. The slope of the green makes wedge shots that much more difficult.
Atthaya Thitikul +800
The two-time LPGA Tour winner has shown glimpses of greatness this season despite only playing in 14 tournaments. Overall, she has made 12 cuts and has finished in the top ten nine times. She heads into this event as the defending champion where she won the tournament in a playoff last season. She is also the type of player where heat and humidity help her game even more. It is supposed to be scorching hot all weekend. Thitikul’s style and consistency are her two biggest features heading into the weekend and look for her to repeat on Sunday.
Georgia Hall +1600
Hall keeps knocking on the top tier among the best in the world. She has five top-ten results since the spring and had consecutive runner-ups. Her ability to make birdies on courses like Pinnacle automatically puts her in the mix to win the whole thing. The British golfer ranks seventh in birdies with 237 on tour. Her greens in regulation and putting rank closer to top-ten on high birdie courses. This weekend will come down to whether she can limit her mistakes on the 14th hole. Look for Hall to contend this weekend to win her third LPGA victory.
Danielle Kang +2500
This is a revenge weekend for Kang as she lost in the playoffs last year to Thitikul. She has not had the best season in 2023 with missed cuts and ugly finishes. She has ranked as high as 35th in the Rolex Rankings this season and has six LPGA Tour victories in her career. This is also a course where she can make a lot of birdies and not worry about precise shotmaking. She provides great value at 25-1 odds.
