Course Characteristics of Those Who Can Win or Secure Winning Golf Bets
This will be the first year that Seowon Valley Country Club will host the BMW Ladies Championship. The course is in the northern part of Gyeonggi-do, about an hour outside the capital of Seoul. For the BMW Ladies Championship, the West and South courses have undergone renovations under the architect David Dale. The layout includes 86 new bunkers with three-dimensional shape, which is a new style for Korean courses. The course is a par 72 that measures a little over 6,600 yards.
Nelly Korda +1400
The 25-year-old heads to Korea with the third best odds to win the BMW Championship and is seeking her first win of the season. She currently ranks fourth in the Rolex Rankings and 15th in the CME Ranking. Over her last 20 rounds, Korda has shot better than par on 10 occasions, while also posting two bogey-free rounds and 13 rounds with a better-than-average score. In her past five events, she has one top-10 finish and three top-20 finishes. With eight career victories on the LPGA Tour, look for Korda to be in contention on the final day at Seowon Valley Country Club.
Atthaya Thitikul +1600
Thitikul has had a solid season and like Korda, is seeking her first victory of the year. She has 10 top-10 finishes and has the fourth best odds to be victorious this weekend in Korea. She heads into the event ranked 12th in the Rolex Rankings and 17th in the CME Ranking. Over her last 16 rounds of golf, Thitikul has scored below par 10 times, while also posting 12 rounds with a better-than-average score. She has finished in the top-10 twice in her past five events, including a top-5 finish. She finished sixth at this event in 2022 and look for her to be in contention again this week.
Lilia Vu +2000
The 26-year-old provides tremendous value this week at 20-1 odds. She is currently ranked first in the Rolex Rankings and first in the CME Ranking. She has five top-10 finishes on the 2023 season including three victories. She has a chance to win every tournament she tees off in. Vu finished third the last time she played this event in 2022. In her past five events played, Vu has one win and two top-5 finishes. Oddsmakers are not doing her justice and is a steal at 20-1.
