2024 LIV Golf Picks: LIV Golf Tour Adelaide Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
The LIV Golf League returns this week, and they head down under to Australia for its LIV Adelaide event at The Grange Golf Club after two weeks removed from the Masters. LIV had a good showing in Augusta with eight out of their 13 players making it to the weekend. Now, they head to Australia where this event closely resembles the Phoenix Waste Management with the rowdy and party crowd. Talor Gooch will look to make it back-to-back at Adelaide, while Jon Rahm is looking for his first victory on the LIV Tour. Doc’s Sports will break down the action from Australia below.

A Look at the Field
Here is a look at the Top 12 and ties with the lowest golf odds to win it all at online sportsbooks
Bryson DeChambeau +800 – Jon Rahm +800 – Cameron Smith +900 – Joaquin Niemann +900
Tyrrell Hatton +1100 – Talor Gooch +1100 – Dean Burmester +1600 – Dustin Johnson +2200
Louis Oosthuizen +2200 – Abraham Ancer +2200 – Paul Casey +2500 – Patrick Reed +2500
The Grange Golf Club will play as a 6,946-yard par-72 and combine the East and West courses. Holes 9-10 and 12-18 of the East Course will be holes 1-9 this week at Adelaide. The back nine of the West Course will be used as holes 10-18 this week. LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman was involved in the redesign for the East Course in 2012 and Mike Clayton redesigned the West Course. The infamous hole No. 12 will return this year and that resembles the 16th hole at the Waste Management where the crowd is extra rowdy. There was one hole-in-one here last year by Chase Koepka that fired up the crowd. Overall, the course is not very long and the tree-lined fairways and bunkers pose the biggest problems for competitors. To win this week, I would expect the winner would need multiple rounds of 65 or better.
Jon Rahm +800
It might feel like a cop out, but we are taking Rahm to claim his first LIV victory this weekend. He ranks first and second throughout LIV in Birdies per Round and Green in Regulation. He should be able to break through for a win, as he is the only player on the LIV circuit to finish in the top-10 in every event this season. He did not have his best showing at the Masters, but still gained strokes ball-striking in the loaded field. If you analyze his seven wins dating back to 2022, four of them have come at 20-under or lower. That is the type of scoring Rahm can put up this weekend in Adelaide.
Patrick Reed +2500
I have been on Patrick Reed wagon the past few articles and I believe he is going to win his first LIV event in the near future. It is crazy to think he has never won since joining LIV given his winning ways on the PGA Tour and number of high finishes. He has momentum that we are riding over the past month. He finished T4 on the Asian Tour in mid-March, T9 at LIV Miami, and T12 at the Masters. He finished T3 last year at this event and the combination of current form and course history could be the recipe to his first career win at LIV.
Abraham Ancer +2700
Few players are playing better than Ancer as he looks to win two out of the last three LIV events. He picked up his first career LIV victory in Hong Kong, defeating Cam Smith and Paul Casey in a three-man playoff. He would then finish T9 in Miami at 6-under par after starting Friday 6-over par on the front nine. He battled back ferociously, finishing third on the week in total birdies. He loves playing Australia as he finished T11 at Adelaide last season, won the Australian Open in 2018, and went 3-1-1 at the Presidents Cup in 2019 at Royal Melbourne. He ranks second in driving accuracy and fifth in total birdies in the 2024 campaign. His putter has been heating up and he could stand victorious on Sunday.
