Crazy, Fun, Wacky, Wild and Weird Super Bowl Props
There have been 284 NFL games this season where you were able to bet on spreads, totals, player props, touchdown scorers. While those markets are still available for the Super Bowl, there are countless novelty props that can add a little extra spice. The Super Bowl wouldn’t really be the Super Bowl if bettors were unable to bet on the pregame coin toss, the length of the National Anthem, and what color of Gatorade will be doused on the winning team head coach.
Your casual Super Bowl viewers may not care about what is going on with the football. However, if you mention Taylor Swift or betting on which song Usher will open up with, the betting tips will suddenly come flowing out. There has never been a better time to have a ‘squad ride’ with your viewing party, as everyone can cheer when “My Way” (+100) is the first song he elects to sing at halftime. While there will be several experts at your party on the standard novelty props like the Gatorade color, or coin toss, bring these even wackier winners to really start turning heads as the novelty props start cashing.

Will Travis Kelce propose to Taylor Swift on the field after the game?- No -1500
This one won’t be lining your pockets with gold, but it is still worth a look, even at these crazy short odds. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been together since October, and there is absolutely no way the world’s biggest popstar would allow herself to get proposed to at the Super Bowl. Swift was with her last boyfriend for 7 years before they split shortly before she shacked up with Kelce, and there were no proposals in sight. Swift will be exhausted from traveling from Tokyo after doing a show Saturday night. And despite the fact Kelce is certainly eccentric, anything resembling a proposal would almost certainly tarnish their relationship. It’s worth noting, this line opened up at -250 odds, before quickly being bet down to this price. The odds may tick up slightly once the Swifties hear about this, and they foolishly bet ‘Yes’, so hold off on this one until gameday.
Temperature at kickoff: 43-50 degrees Fahrenheit or 6-10 degrees Celsius: -120
When money is on the line, we all become weather reporters. The temperature at kickoff is one that will be settled before a ball is kicked, but a slightly cooler than usual game is expected. The daytime high in Las Vegas is projected to be 10 degrees, and as the 3pm local time kickoff is pretty much as hot as it gets. However, I’m expecting it to end up being there, or slightly cooler. The 51-58 F and 11-15 C crowd will be hoping for a hot day, with an equally bland -120 payout on offer, but I feel as though we have significantly more wiggle room with the cooler bracket. Significant cloud cover or a cold front could sway the odds in our favor, and at this price, it’s worth a look.
Taylor Swift shirt color at opening kickoff (excluding jacket): White +250
This is a prop I am all over. Taylor Swift’s color is usually Red (-300), but the key to this wager is excluding the jacket. Swift frequently adorns a white top with a red jacket, making this juicy price too good to pass up. Fresh off her flight from Tokyo, I expect Swift to need time to acclimate to the cooler Las Vegas weather, fresh off a stuffy plane for half a day. There will almost certainly be red in her outfit, but she rarely wears non-red jackets, and a red-on-red outfit will not fly during the biggest sporting event of the year. The listed colors are Red (-300), White (+250), Black (+1000), Yellow (+3000), or Any Other (+2500). While the White feels like a slam dunk, ‘Any Other’ at +2500 odds feels like a safe hedge to put a few dollars on, too. You never know what the most popular celebrity will pull out, and the +2500 price is hard to pass up.
First song performed by Usher at halftime: Yeah! +700
There are two clear frontrunners in this market, with My Way +100 and OMG +150 separating themselves from the chasing pack. However, we’ll look to the third horse in the race for some additional value. Yeah! Is a very upbeat, catchy song Usher released in 2004. This song features Ludacris, who is expected to join him at halftime, making it a longshot Usher plays it first. However, Ludacris is a mere -200 to appear as a special guest, making this +700 price if he doesn’t do so a great fit. In my opinion, there would be no better way for Usher to open up the Super Bowl show then with his catchiest throwback blowing off the roof.
What team will Drake support: Kansas City Chiefs -170
The ‘Drake Curse’ is often talked about, as the Canadian icon has been on the wrong side of bets countless times in the past. The Chiefs are understandable favorites in this market, as while Drake has no real allegiance to either team, his connection with Taylor Swift may sway him in their favor. Drake is no stranger to jumping on the bandwagon. And even with plenty of public support for the Chiefs, I expect him to join the party and cheer on his fellow popstar.
