It's that time of year again: time for bracket busters, buzzer beaters and broken (and buttressed) bankrolls. It's time for a little March Madness.

But before we get to The Big Dance we still get the beautiful bounty of the conference tournament schedule. These smaller tournaments, in my mind, are second only to the pre-conference schedule in terms of most potentially profitable betting opportunities. Things are happening fast and furious this time of year, and if you are well prepared the edge between a common gambler and the oddsmakers is shrunk ever so slightly because of the chaos.

Below is the 2009 NCAA men's college basketball conference tournament schedules. I have listed the conference tournament schedules in chronological order by the date that each one starts. If there were multiple tourneys starting on the same day I placed them in order of which conference playoffs ended first.

There are 31 conference tournaments, each receiving an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament. The Ivy League is the only conference that still sends its regular season champion (this year that will be Cornell). Selection Sunday is on March 15 - beware the Ides of March! - when the other 33 at-large teams will be announced.
