2025 PGA Picks: AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Odds and Expert Betting Predictions

This week, as we await Super Bowl LIX, sports fans will be treated to the Pebble Beach Pro/Am from one of the most beautiful areas in the country, Carmel Bay, in Northern California. This tournament started way back in 1937 when it was known as the Bing Crosby Pro/Am.
The format and courses played have changed over the years, and 2025 will be notably different, as the amateurs will only play the first two days of the event.
Typically one of the weaker tournaments on the PGA Tour's West Coast Swing, the Pebble Beach Pro/Am got a ton of money pumped back into it. A wise man once said, if you pay it, they will come. This year's field of professionals looks a lot like a major event, with almost all of the usual suspects at the top of the betting board.
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, for example, will make his 2025 PGA Tour debut after puncturing his hand carving up Christmas dinner and thus had to take most of January off to recover. The next man down the betting board and also making his first PGA Tour appearance of 2025, Rory McIlroy, cracked a playful joke about Scheffler. He said the New Jersey native made enough money last year to hire a chef. It's nice to have them both back.
Also in the field will be Americans Justin Thomas and Patrick Cantlay, who have each experienced a small resurgence over the past couple of months.

Pebble Beach Golf Links - Course Characteristics
Both the amateurs and the professionals will play the Pebble Beach Golf Links on Thursday and Friday. After the cut of the pros and early exit of the ammys, the final two rounds will be played on this course.
Traditionally, this course plays about as difficult as the weather conditions permit. Currently, the forecast looks good, with calm winds of just 5 MPH and no rain. This is, of course, a coastal course, so the conditions can change quickly.
Spyglass Hill Golf Club - Course Characteristics
With some of the smallest greens on the PGA Tour, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links are playable with Poa Annua surfaces. They can be tricky inside of 10 feet, so golfers must stay focused throughout.
Spyglass Hill fairways aren’t as wide as Pebble Beach Golf Links. However, both courses play about the same, with your second shot being the most important. The bunkers are notorious for ruining your round rather quickly.
Pebble Beach Pro/Am Betting Picks
Scottie Scheffler: +510
Believe it or not, a little bit better than 5-1 betting odds isn’t that bad for Scheffler. It’’s been a couple of months since we’ve seen SS play, but he’s the best and has never had a problem picking up right where he left off.
He won his last tournament, which was the Tour Championship. Recent reports out of NorCal show Scheffler practicing and looking great without any wrap on his hand.
If he wins this week, get ready for barely 3-1 betting odds on the World #1 from here on out.
Jason Day: +3500
Australia’s Jason Day has more experience on this course, playing in the Pro/Am style than anyone else in the field. He’s also arguably had more success. Even though some believe his best playing days are behind him, Day always shows up at Pebble Beach.
Historically one of the best wind golfers on the Tour, it's possible the forecasted calm conditions aren't on our side. Still, Day is in solid form, finishing 3rd at The American Express just a couple of weeks ago.
Seven top 7 performances in his previous eight starts here make the 35-1 betting odds quite valuable.
Keegan Bradley: +5500
The 2025 Ryder Cup American Team captain, 38-year-old Keegan Bradley, is another aging vet. However, after earning that title, we've seen a reinvigorated spirit from him. He is a bit soft-bodied, but these courses aren't about pure power off the tee.
I love the current form for the Woodstock, Vermont native. He has finished 5th, 15th, 6th, and 15th once more over his previous four starts on Tour.
