Kelly Pavlik in action Oct.7th by Trever "DeuceDrop" Malagon - 09/20/2005 On Oct. 7 hard punching Kelly Pavlik is set to take on fellow big puncher Fulgencio Zungia at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Pavlik who is undefeated with a record of 26-0, 23 KOs, has a tough night ahead of him going against Zungia. Fulgencio sports a record of 17-1, 16 KOs. These two guys have some serious pop in their punches, and both love to throw big punches. The hard-hitting Colombian has fought limited opposition for the majority of his fights, but he has gone twelve rounds in his only loss against WBO Light Middleweight Champ Daniel Santos. The fight was a unanimous decision loss, but I'm sure he learned a lot in that fight. For his sake, I hope he did.
Pavlik is right on the cusp of breaking out and becoming a known fighter on the world level. I like watching Pavlik fight, because he is a big puncher and has good skills. Having a high knockout percentage Kelly is always exciting to watch, you don't want to blink our eyes, because you might miss it. If there is no instant reply, you just got screwed, because those KOs come quick. With these two guys being undefeated, and being big punchers, I think it is safe to say that this fight isn't going the distance. |
