November 7, New York - In an effort to stay out of trouble, Soprano bad-boy Robert Iler will play poker exclusively on BetCRIS Poker (www.betcris.com) and no longer in illegal New York poker rooms. A free account was created for him in exchange for the use of his name & image. Iler will endorse the site www.betcris.com
As reported a few weeks back, Sopranos star Iler came close to being arrested again for visiting an illegal poker room on the upper east side of New York called the Ace Point Backgammon Club & Chess Studio. Iler entered the poker room only to find the police already breaking up the club. Iler and about 30 other poker players were eventually let go after having their ID's run for outstanding warrants.
Iller's late night venture in Manhattan inspired executives at BetCRIS Poker to offer the young Sopranos star an exclusive account to play at home and out of trouble. After contacting Iler's agent, a deal was worked out where Iler would receive a large account and exclusively play on BetCRIS Poker for use of name and image on the website.
"By having Robert Iler playing at our site and not on the streets of New York, we hope that he'll be able to stay out of trouble with the law," said Mickey Richardson, CEO of BetCRIS.com. "The Sopranos is one of the best shows on television and we couldn't be happier about teaming up with Tony's son."
