Doc's Weekly Baseball Notes
Doc's has been on fire in MLB as they have put together a 51-29 run for their member picks. Doc's is also 26-5 on the year for MLB Totals. This Saturday Doc's Sports will be releasing our MLB Game of the Week, which has been a huge moneymaker in the past for Doc's clients. This is our seventh week of posting our weekend baseball handicapping notes. If you followed our advice for the past seven weeks you would have compiled a profitable 25-11 record. Last week Doc's notes netted a 5-1 record.
Pittsburgh at Oakland, June 11, 12, 13
This is a case of two teams that are going in different directions. Oakland has been hot as of late as they have won five straight and 8 of their last 10. The Pirates, on the other hand, have struggled and have lost five straight and are 1-9 in their last 10.
Athletics have the edge in pitching. Their starting hurlers have an ERA of 3.63 while Pittsburgh starters have a dismal ERA of 5.43. Good chance for a sweep here so don't be afraid to lay the wood.
Texas at Cincinnati, June 15, 16, 17
The Reds were hot for a while and they quickly vaulted to the top of the NL Central, which is one of the toughest divisions in baseball. But we see them falling from grace with many better teams right on their heels. Texas has been playing well although they have struggled on the road.
We expect those road woes to end here against Cincinnati as Texas should take 2 of 3 or even sweep. The Reds pitching isn't great and it has been even worse lately. Texas bats should be hot.
