Case of the Mondays: A 3-1 Deficit Giveth, and a 3-1 Lead Taketh Away
by Ricky Dimon - 11/7/2016
What a roller-coaster of a five months the city of Cleveland has endured. "Enjoyed" would have been a more appropriate term up until last Sunday, when the Indians found themselves one win away from giving the city a championship in second consecutive major sports season (the Cavaliers captured the NBA title on June 19). But then Game 5, Game 6, and Game 7 of the World Series happened.

A. Allen, Ray. Jesus Shuttlesworth has been called in from the court; this time not by his mom in "He Got Game," but on his own accord. Allen announced his retirement on Tuesday after 18 NBA seasons. He won two championships and is is the league's all-time leader in three-pointers made with 2,973.
Sports Betting Futures Odds: NCAA Hardwood Action One Week Away From Heating Up
by Ricky Dimon - 11/2/2016
With baseball season wrapping up tonight, football and basketball will share the spotlight over the next few months. The NBA is already in full swing, and now it is almost time for the 2016-17 NCAA season to begin. Defending champion Villanova should still be in the mix, but the usual suspects such as Duke, Kentucky, and Kansas are favored.
Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 11/1/2016
This weekend's Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita Park offers two days of the best graded stakes horse racing of the season capped off by Saturday's $6 million Classic. Doc's Sports expert sports handicapper Raphael Esparza also happens to be a top handicapper for the ponies, so we will get his take on how to bet this year's main event.
Football Betting Weekly Public Action Report: Sharps vs. Squares
by Trevor Whenham - 10/28/2016
The Public Action Report is on a major roll this year - unlike anything we have seen in the history of it, which is coming up on 10 years now. We went 3-0 ATS last week, which upped the record on the year to 10-1 ATS. It's not hard to make serious money when you are winning at that kind of rate. The sample size is small, and we can't keep winning at a rate like that forever. We can't dwell on the potential negatives, though. For now we can only enjoy the success that we have had so far and work as hard as we can to keep the roll going. Ride the hot streak.

A. Arian Foster. Foster, who played seven seasons with Houston before suiting up for four games with Miami in 2016, retired earlier this week. He played a full 16-game schedule only twice and finished with 6,527 rushing yards, 2,346 receiving yards, and 68 total touchdowns.
Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 10/25/2016
History will be made in this year's MLB World Series regardless of whether Chicago Cubs or the Cleveland Indians win given the combined 175 years that have passed since either team has won a world title. Long-time suffering Cubs' fan Raphael Esparza also happens to be one of Doc's Sports top expert handicappers, and in this week's discussion we will get his take on how he sees this series playing out.
Sports Betting Futures Odds: World Series and NBA Season Begin on Same Day
by Ricky Dimon - 10/25/2016
This is a time that rivals the Final Four and the start of each Major League Baseball season. Yes, it's October and that means the end of baseball and the beginning of basketball. Tuesday marks the start of an almost hard-to-believe World Series between the Cubs and Indians, while LeBron James and the Cavs are set to begin their NBA title defense.
Case of the Mondays: Cardinals and Seahawks Fit to be Tied
by Ricky Dimon - 10/24/2016
Seven weeks into the season, we have no undefeated teams in the NFL. We do, however, have a tie. Arizona and Seattle combined for a grand total of zero touchdowns on Sunday night before settling for a 6-6 tie, during which each team's kicker missed a potential game-winning field goal inside 30 yards. Whereas both the Cardinals and the Seahawks are surely ruing missed opportunities, the Browns would be just fine with any kind of tie these days.
Football Betting Weekly Public Action Report: Sharps vs. Squares
by Trevor Whenham - 10/21/2016
It's has been one heck of a year for the Public Action Report. Action has been limited - there have only been eight games that have fit the criteria over the entire season so far. Of those eight, though, we have been on the right side of seven of them. 7-1 ATS - it's not hard to make money when you hit at a rate like that. The problem, of course, is that we haven't been getting a whole lot of games this year - we've taken more weeks off than we have had bets.
Sports Betting Futures Odds: NBA Regular Season Less Than One Week Away
by Ricky Dimon - 10/20/2016
They say Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, but isn't it October? After all, this is the only month (depending on how long the World Series lasts) in which all four major American sports are in progress. Baseball will soon crown a champion, football is in midseason form, hockey has already started up, and basketball is about to get underway. Enjoy!

A. ATP Tour. The ATP suspended Nick Kyrgios for eight weeks after he blatantly tanked a match last week in Shanghai. Kyrgios blooped in serves and often did not run for balls in a 6-3, 6-1 second-round loss to Mischa Zverev. The 21-year-old Australian can have the ban reduced to three weeks if he enlists the help of a sports psychologist. It's safe to say he needs one.
Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 10/18/2016
Doc's Sports expert handicapper Raphael Esparza just so happens to be a huge Chicago fan given his native roots, so in this week's discussion we will get his early thoughts on the current NLCS showdown between the Cubs and the Los Angeles Dodgers as well as his pick for how he sees this best-of-seven series panning out.
Case of the Mondays: Tennessee Goes Down Again, Purdue Coach Gets the Boot
by Ricky Dimon - 10/17/2016
Tennessee escaped certain doom on multiple occasions throughout its first five games of the season. In fact, the Volunteers stormed back from double-digits four times en route to a 5-0 record. But the 2016 campaign has taken a turn for the worse at the hands of SEC rivals Texas A&M and Alabama. As for Purdue head coach Darrell Hazell, his tenure took a final turn this past weekend because he was relieved of his duties.
Sports Betting Futures Odds: And Then There Were Four; Cubs, Dodgers, Indians, and Blue Jays
by Ricky Dimon - 10/14/2016
Now only three other teams stand in the way of the Chicago Cubs from making a whole bunch of history. Los Angeles joined the Cubs in the NLCS with a Game 5 win at Washington on Thursday, while the ALCS pits Cleveland against Toronto. As for every other club, they are already looking ahead to 2017-kind of like Tiger Woods on the golf course.

A. Antonio Brown. The Steelers' star receiver scored another touchdown last week in a win over the Jets but this time simply handed the ball to a fan in the stands. He had already been flagged and fined multiple times this season for"sexually suggestive" behavior following touchdowns. Perhaps Brown has learned to keep those kinds of thing in the…er…locker room.
Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 10/11/2016
A new season of hockey in the NHL gets underway this Wednesday night, and in this week's discussion with Doc's Sports' expert handicapper Raphael Esparza we will get his early thoughts on which two teams he has facing off against one another for the 2017 Stanley Cup title.
Case of the Mondays: Mess with Texas, Both on the Gridiron and the Diamond
by Ricky Dimon - 10/10/2016
Don't mess with Texas? Heck yeah, mess with Texas! This past week was a good one to oppose teams hailing from the Lone Star State, as the Longhorns went down on the football field-again-and the Rangers bowed out of the MLB playoffs. One team not accustomed to losing, at least not this year, is Tennessee. But the Volunteers suffered their first setback after playing yet another thriller.
Football Betting Weekly Public Action Report: Sharps vs. Squares
by Trevor Whenham - 10/7/2016
What a week it was for the Public Action Report last week. As good as it gets pretty much. There were three games that fit the criteria. All three teams we identified covered the spread. It gets better, though. Indiana upset Michigan State as 6.5-point underdogs, and North Carolina was a 10.5-point dog when they stunned Florida State. That's two teams that not only covered the spread but also paid off handsomely on the moneyline.

A. Arbitration. The Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled on Tuesday that Maria Sharapova's suspension has been reduced from two years to 15 months, retroactive to when she tested positive for meldonium at the 2016 Australian Open. Sharapova can return next April, in time for the French Open. Good for the game…if you know what I mean.
