Fourth Down and Inches: Doc’s Weekly Football Betting Report
by Doc - 11/20/2012
This football season’s rollercoaster ride took a major turn upwards this past weekend with a 6-3 record that resulted in a final tally of +15 Units. We hit on all three of our top selections, and I finally got a grip on the Big Ten Conference; going 2-0 for +10 Units in games that were never in doubt.
Case of the Mondays: Not-So-Mighty Ducks, Not-So-Wild Cats
by Ricky Dimon - 11/19/2012
A hard-to-believe weekend of college football saw Stanford go Duck hunting, a Baylor crowd storm the field, and Alabama fans riot in the streets after beating none other than Western Carolina. After all, you can’t fault those teams for reveling in the downfalls of Oregon and Kansas State.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by T.O. Whenham - 11/16/2012
The down cycle for the Public Action Report continued last week. Only a late rally by Virginia against Miami that earned a push avoided an 0-4 ATS weekend. The fundamentals behind this report have proven sound over the years, so this current month of frustration is just a reminder of how hard sports betting can be, and how important it is to maintain a long-term view when the short term sucks.

Sharpe Pointers for Football Betting (Plus Free Picks)
by Jason Sharpe - 11/13/2012
Betting on and winning at college and pro football can be a very tough task for those who don’t work full time at it. I spend the entire week researching teams and game matchups, trying to uncover any edge. I will try and share some of my “tricks of the trade” and also offer other insights when it comes to beating the football betting market.
Fourth Down and Inches: Doc’s Weekly Football Betting Report
by Doc - 11/13/2012
Coming off a huge +20 Unit week, we felt confident the success was going to continue into Week 11 of the college football season, but it was not meant to be. We have had rough weeks before at Doc’s Sports Service with our football selections, and unfortunately we have to add last week to the list. The highlight of the week was the correct call on a 5-unit play on Nebraska’s come-from-behind victory over Penn State as a seven-point home favorite. It took a very late field goal by the Cornhuskers to cover the spread, so we even had to sweat that one out.
Back to the Futures: Johnny Football Opens Door for Optimus Klein
by Ricky Dimon - 11/13/2012
With college football heating up down the regular-season stretch and college basketball in the midst of its season-opening, 24-hour marathon, a smorgasbord of betting opportunities is being bestowed upon sports enthusiasts. Is Alabama done on the gridiron? Can North Carolina be as good as it once was on the hardwood? We’re about to find out….
Case of the Mondays: The Tide Turns on CFB Undefeateds
by Ricky Dimon - 11/12/2012
It was a rough week in football for what we thought were really good teams. The 1972 Dolphins can sip champagne after previously 8-0 Atlanta went down. Fellow NFC titans Chicago (mustered six points against Houston), New York (dropped a stinker in Cincinnati), and San Francisco (tied with St. Louis) also floundered.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by T.O. whenham - 11/8/2012
It has been a frustrating time for the Public Action Report the last few weeks, and that frustration certainly continued last weekend. Things looked strong in early action on Saturday, but the right teams faded at the end of their games, and the later games were just plain ugly. In the end it was a 2-5 ATS weekend. If sports betting didn’t regularly test your patience and faith then everyone would do it, though, so all we can do is keep on keeping on. At 24-28 ATS all is not lost for the year — a couple of strong weeks and we are right back where we want to be. There are four games that fit the criteria this week — three in college football, and one in the NFL.
This Week in Sports Betting, A-Z
by Nichloas Tolomeo - 11/8/2012
A – Appropriate. Colorado has legalized marijuana. The Denver Nuggets now have the most appropriate team name. The state of Washington also legalized marijuana. The Seattle SuperSonics are now going to move back to the state and be renamed the SuperChronics.
Back to the Futures: Manning Brothers Super Bowl Odds Have Value
by Ricky Dimon - 11/7/2012
The National Football League may not be a crapshoot like Major League Baseball or the NHL, but it’s also not college football (where the SEC Champion automatically wins any BCS title ever invented) or the NBA (where you can pick the champ from either Miami, Oklahoma City, or the Lakers).
Fourth Down and Inches: Doc’s Weekly Football Betting Report
by Doc - 11/6/2012
It is a sure sign that November has arrived when it seems like, overnight, October turns into December-like weather with cold winds and snow flurries in the air. Over the years this has always been my favorite month of the year to handicap, and if last week’s results are a sign of things to come, then we are in for a monster month. It was a slump-buster to say the least with a 7-3 record that left us up 20 units for the weekend. This simply means that our $100 bettors walked away with a profit of $1,880.

Case of the Mondays: As Colts Persevere, Redskins Quit
by Ricky Dimon - 11/5/2012
It’s that time of year when football teams are starting to be left for dead. The top college contenders mostly stayed alive, with all four BCS leaders managing to pull out clutch victories. In the NFL, the same cannot be said for many playoff hopefuls. Among those losing critical games in Week 9 and fading from the picture were Arizona, Cincinnati, Dallas, Miami, Minnesota, and Washington.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by T.O. Whenham - 11/2/2012
Last week there were just four games that fit the criteria of the Public Action Report. They wound up going 2-2 ATS. That brings the season total to 22-23 ATS. This week we look to get back on track with a busy week. There are five college football games and two more on Sunday from the NFL.
Fourth Down and Inches: Doc’s Weekly Football Betting Report
by Doc - 10/30/2012
It is hard for me to believe that the college football season just wrapped up its ninth week of action, but I am getting excited for a remarkable finish down the stretch. Doc’s Sports posted another sub-.500 finish this past Saturday with a 2-3 record on our top plays, including our highest-unit play on Oklahoma. We had the Sooners fired up at home to lay a beating on Notre Dame. And while they were able to move the ball up and down the field, it only led to an early 3-0 lead, and that is usually a recipe for disaster.
Weekly Q&A with Doc’s Sports Expert Handicapper Vegas Sports Informer
by Doc's Sports - 10/30/2012
The Vegas Sports Informer has been part of the winning handicapping team at Doc’s Sports Service for over four years now with his expert selections for a number of different sports. Back to the Futures: Thunder Rolls as Third Favorite Without Harden
by Ricky Dimon - 10/30/2012
Why wait? The NBA sure didn’t. With the regular season on the immediate horizon, the league (or, more specifically, the Thunder and Rockets) went ahead and created some rim-rattling buzz. Oklahoma City sent one of its own Big 3, James Harden, to Houston for Kevin Martin, Jeremy Lamb, and multiple first-round draft picks.
Case of the Mondays: NFL Coaches on the Hot Seat
by Ricky Dimon - 10/29/2012
It was a rough week on the field for the NFL. There weren’t that many exciting games and the losing teams of the week stole headlines from the winners. Philadelphia got clobbered by Atlanta and the undefeated Falcons were a non-story. The Jets laid an egg against Miami and the Dolphins received no credit whatsoever. The Giants held off Dallas to improve to 6-2, and the only question afterward was whether or not the Cowboys are finished.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by T.O. Whenham - 10/26/2012
The thing about sports betting is that sometimes there are going to be weeks in which you feel like everything seems right — you are on the right teams and you are going to do just fine — and you really, really aren’t. Last week was a week like that for the Public Action Report. In a very big way.
