Sports Betting Tips Weekly: Hot and Cold Wagering Options
by Victor Ryan - 10/26/2015
This week's look at the hottest and coldest bets in sports includes a couple of streaking college football teams from the Pac-12 as well as two NFL teams headed in opposite directions. In addition, the early part of the NHL season has begun to produce an array of betting trends. Here's this week's look at the hottest and coldest bets in sports:
Case of the Mondays: Chargers Embarrassed at Home by Raiders
by Ricky Dimon - 10/26/2015
The Chargers appeared to be tired of losing close games. But instead of winning, they got thoroughly embarrassed in Week 7. On the heels of a 24-20 loss to Pittsburgh and a 27-20 setback against Green Bay, San Diego entertained NFC West rival Oakland on Sunday and managed to trail 37-6 after three quarters en route to a closer-than-it-really-was 37-29 final.

A. Alex Ovechkin. The Capitals' star forward recorded his 900th career point during Tuesday's blowout of Calgary. He is the only player in franchise history to reach the milestone and he is the second fasted active player (behind Jaromir Jagr-yep, Jagr still plays and is still great) to achieve it. Ovechkin also scored the game-winner on Thursday against Vancouver. Washington is a -109 road favorite at Edmonton on Friday, per 5Dimes Sportsbook.
Sports Betting Futures Odds: NBA to Tip Off, Making All Four Major Sports in Action
by Ricky Dimon - 10/23/2015
Next week will be one of the busiest in sports, with the NFL, MLB, NHL, and NBA all sharing the stage. While the football season nears its midway point, the 2015-16 basketball campaign is set to begin. LeBron James and the Cavs are expected to make a return trip to the finals-where they could have one of two familiar foes awaiting them.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by Trevor Whenham - 10/22/2015
Despite the late start this year, it has been a good year for the public action report so far. We have only had games to play the last two weeks, but both weeks have been profitable. Last week there were two winners among the three games, including Wyoming, which not only covered the spread but won outright as 6.5-point underdogs. It's a very interesting four-game slate this week, so here's hoping that the success continues.

Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 10/20/2015
This year's Breeders' Cup takes place on Oct. 30-31 at Keeneland, and while all eyes are focused on American Pharoah's expected run in the $5 Million Classic, we will tap into expert handicapper Raphael Esparza's early thoughts on a few of the 13 races on the card that have caught his early attention.
Case of the Mondays: Super Bowl Teams Going in Different Directions
by Ricky Dimon - 10/19/2015
Super Bowl 50 appears unlikely to feature a rematch of the thriller that was Super Bowl XLIX. Of course, that is no fault of the Patriots. Whereas defending champion New England improved to 5-0 with a road win over Indianapolis on Sunday night, reigning NFC winner Seattle dropped to 2-4 after a home loss to Carolina. But, hey, at least the Seahawks did not endure as bad of a weekend as Jim Harbaugh and Michigan.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by Trevor Whenham - 10/16/2015
Last week was the first week of the football season in which the Public Action Report criteria was met for us. It was a good start, too - the report wound up 3-2 ATS in the five games covered. It was a good start, and we'll hope to continue the momentum with the three games we are looking at this week.
Sports Betting Futures Odds: Cubs vs. Mets Headlines Baseball's Final Four
by Ricky Dimon - 10/16/2015
And then there were four. Either the Cubs, Mets, Blue Jays, or Royals will be World Series champions next month. But first they have to get through their respective league championship series. On the gridiron, the Big Ten has become especially intriguing with Jim Harbaugh's Michigan on the rise and seemingly able to challenge Michigan State and Ohio State.

A. ACL. Chiefs' running back Jamaal Charles suffered the dreaded non-contact injury in a Week 5 loss to Chicago. Non-contact is never good news, and it wasn't. He is out for the year with a torn ACL. On the bright side for Charles, that means no more game-ending fumbles. BookMaker has Kansas City as a +4 underdog at Minnesota on Sunday.
Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 10/14/2015
The Chicago Cubs' amazing run is taking them to the NLCS. In this week's discussion with Doc's Sports expert handicapper Raphael Esparza, we will get his take on what the future might hold for his favorite baseball team as they take their next step towards winning that elusive world title.
Case of the Mondays: Multiple Teams Lose More than Just a Game
by Ricky Dimon - 10/12/2015
The Chiefs not only lost at home to a bad team on Sunday, but they also saw star running back Jamaal Charles go down for the season with a torn ACL. On the college gridiron it was a similar story for Georgia. Heisman Trophy contender Nick Chubb suffered a season-ending knee injury and promptly squandered all of 24-3 advantage over Tennessee. But nobody blew a lead in more improbable fashion this past weekend than the Seahawks.
Weekly Football Betting Public Action Report
by Trevor Whenham - 10/9/2015
It took a long time this year for games that fit our criteria well to emerge, but it's finally time for this season's debut of the Public Action Report. That's a very good thing - plenty of winners have come from this report over the years, including many long-priced underdogs winning outright. So, what is the Public Action Report? Let's take a refresher before looking at our five games for this week.

A. Alabama. Nick Saban went off on the media after winning. Just think what would have happened if the Crimson Tide had lost. Keep in mind, too, that they did not merely win; they went on the road last Saturday and destroyed Georgia 38-10, once leading 38-3 early in the third quarter. The Bulldogs are -3.5 favorites at Tennessee on Saturday, per Bovada Sportsbook.
Weekly Q&A with Doc's Sports Expert Handicapper Raphael Esparza
by Doc's Sports - 10/6/2015
We all know that Doc's Sports expert handicapper Raphael Esparza is a huge Cubs fan as a Chicago native, so we are going to put him on the spot in this week's Q&A for his pick in this Wednesday's NL Wildcard showdown against the Pirates. The former Vegas Sports Informer no longer works in the Las Vegas sportsbook industry after retiring in 2013 as Director of the Race and Sports Book for MGM Grand's Aria.
Case of the Mondays: Eagles' Momentum Evaporates With Division Loss
by Ricky Dimon - 10/5/2015
Just when it looked like things may be turning around for the Eagles with a road win at the Jets and a seemingly benign date with Washington up next on the schedule, Chip Kelly's squad took another hit in the loss column. Philly paid a visit to the Redskins on Sunday and lost 23-20. Speaking of three-point losses in Week 4, both the Steelers and Jaguars were doomed by kicking woes.

A. Arrieta, Jake. Having to play in a one-game wild-card showdown to save a season that has spanned 162 games is not a fun proposition. Or is it? For the Cubs it might be. They will have Arrieta going against Pittsburgh. The 29-year-old is 21-6 (including 10-0 in his last 10 decisions and 15-1 in his last 16) with a 1.82 ERA. He has a ridiculous 0.44 ERA in his last 11 outings. Chicago is +525 at BookMaker to win the National League Pennant.
