A – Adonis DNA. Charlie Sheen, the man with the tiger blood and the Adonis DNA, has captivated the country with his bi-winning ways, his coast-to-coast talk show tour, his must-read Twitter account and his incoherent ingenious rants. And now he has captivated the Chicago Cubs clubhouse. Outfielder Reed Johnson said everything stops when Charlie speaks and the volume on the clubhouse TV gets turned way up. No word on if this had anything to do with the brawl (see letter C).

K – Kate Upton. No relation to B.J. Upton or Justin Upton, but Kate Upton, an 18-year old Midwesterner may be the star of this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. With Brooklyn Decker turning 24 years old this year (or 65 in swimsuit model years), Kate Upton appears ready to take the reigns as the next Decker.

E – Eva and Eduardo. There may be love after Tony Parker for Eva Longoria. After breaking off her marriage with the San Antonio Spurs point guard late last year, Longoria has been spotted canoodling with Eduardo Cruz, brother of actress Penelope Cruz. The new couple was spotted at a Super Bowl party in South Beach, Fla. Apparently neither Cruz or Longoria realized that last year’s Super Bowl was in South Beach and this year’s was in North Texas.

by Nicholas Tolomeo - 2/1/2011
G – Glee. If you thought “Undercover Boss” was a terrible show to follow up the Super Bowl last season on CBS, this year your Super Bowl hangover will be quadrupled by a showing of “Glee” on Fox immediately after the game. This might be the worst Super Bowl lead-out programming since “Malcolm in the Middle” inexplicably followed Super Bowl XXVI.

A – Aikman, Troy. The biggest storylines in Super Bowl XLV are revolving around the announcer’s booth. Troy Aikman returns home to Dallas, people around the country will be hitting the mute button to avoid hearing Joe Buck’s rambling, you can wager on what color ties the two will wear and now it looks like Aikman has decided to announce his divorce just days before the biggest game he will ever announce. Aikman revealed this week that he and his wife Rhonda have divorced after 10 years of marriage.

A – Andre Agassi. In an attempt to raise money for charity, Andre Agassi auctioned off a porcelain plate. When that didn’t work he included a nude picture of his wife, former tennis player Steffi Graf. Agassi promised to flash a nude picture of Graf from his cell phone to the winning bidder if the price exceeded $4,000. If that is not creepy enough, the winning bid went to a 60-year old Taiwanese man, Franz Chen, who says that Graf, “has a pretty good figure.”

A – Allegiance for Sale. It has been done before, but it’s never been as humorous. A Cincinnati Bengals fan is auctioning off his fan allegiance on eBay. Twenty-eight year old Brett Kostoff is pissed off at the Bengals and ownership. So his fan allegiance is up for grabs to the highest bidder on the popular auction site. In the item description Kostoff promises to use all the proceeds from the auction towards purchasing memorabilia and tickets for his new team.

A – Aaron Rodgers. The NFC North is now home to two celebrity girlfriends, and we are not counting Jen Sterger as one of them. Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and reality television star Kristin Cavallari have been an item for more than a month, and now the Green Bay Packers quarterback is reportedly dating Gossip Girl actress Jessica Szohr. No word yet if Szohr will be in attendance Sunday at Philadelphia when 2.5-point underdog Green Bay plays the Eagles in a Wild Card game.

H – Hillis, Peyton. Before their Week 15 AFC North clash, Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis called out Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis. After Hillis gouged the Baltimore defense for 144 yards In Week 3, Lewis said that “a blind cat will find a meal every once in a while.” Lewis and the Baltimore defense backed up on the talk on Sunday when they held Hillis to 35 yards on 12 carries.

A – Artest, Ron. On a recent appearance on “Pardon the Interruption,” Lakers forward Ron Artest was asked if he wanted to play in the NFL. Artest gave his usual head-scratching/hilarious response, “We only live once, if I’m not mistaken.”

A – Amanda Beard. The former Olympic gold medal swimmer revealed all in Playboy a few years ago, and now she is ready to reveal all again in an upcoming tell-all book. Beard says it will reveal her struggle with drugs, alcohol and eating disorders. Beard competed in the Atlanta games at the age of 14 when she famously walked around the pool clutching a teddy bear. She won gold and two silvers that year and captured the hearts of most Americans.

F – Florida Football. For the second consecutive December, Florida football Coach Urban Meyer has announced his retirement. Last December he changed his mind after 24 hours. He may still do so this time, but it looks like Meyer is serious. He says he will stay on to coach Florida through the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Florida on New Year’s Day. The Gators are seven-point favorites against Penn State, according to college football odds.

A – Auburn. The rollercoaster ride to a National Championship continues for Auburn amidst near losses, comeback wins and Cam Newton allegations. One thing is sure though, that American loves watching. Newton is the first player in college football history to garner breaking news just by being ruled eligible. Auburn’s 24-point rally against Alabama in the Iron Bowl garnered the highest rating for a college football game this season. During the game a quick-thinking Alabama employee decided to play the Steve Miller Band’s, “Take the Money and Run,” a clear reference to allegations about Newton accepting money.

A – American Airlines Arena Happy Hour. When the Miami Heat brought together Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh, they fired their ticket sales staff the very next day. Now with the Heat sitting at 8-6 and mired in a slump, there are empty seats at American Airlines Arena and the promotions staff is hard at work concocting up an arena “Heat Happy Hour.” There is a new marketing campaign encouraging fans to “Fan Up,” aka come early and stay the entire game. Heat fans have been doing neither.
Football Betting: Weekly Public Action Report
by T.O. Whenham - 11/19/2010
Last week was close to a total disaster for the Public Action Report. Only a decent showing in a losing effort by Arizona State saved us from a complete shutout. It’s a long season, though, so these things are bound to happen. This week we have no NFL games that fit out criteria, but a whole mess of college games that do.

L – Los Angeles Basketball. The Lakers and Clippers share the same arena and division, but the similarities stop there. The Lakers (9-2) and Clippers (1-10) are worlds apart in terms of results and talent. The Lakers at 2/1 are the favorite to win the NBA Finals while the Clippers at 250/1 are the third-biggest longshot.
Fourth Down and Inches – Football Predictions Report
by Doc - 11/16/2010
Our selection service continues to roll, as we went 9-1 this week picking up +38 units. This allowed $100 bettors to show a profit of $3,760. Our only loss on the weekend was with Georgia over Auburn. The Bulldogs had a big early lead, but just could not hang on against an explosive Auburn offense.
Football Betting: Weekly Public Action Report
by T.O. Whenham - 11/12/2010
Last week was a very strange one for the Public Action Report - there was only one game that really fit the criteria. That’s far below expectations. I didn’t end up writing up the Report as a result of the lack of action. This week we’re back, and with lots of action.

A – America’s Team. Long labeled as ‘America’s Team,’ the Dallas Cowboys are not even ‘Dallas’ team’. The latest Dallas debacle, a 45-7 loss at Green Bay that cost Wade Phillips his job, scored only a 27.8 rating in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, down a whopping 42 percent, or 306,162 fewer homes, than watched the Dallas/Washington season-opener.
Fourth Down and Inches Football Predictions Report - Big Ten Game of the Year Edition
by Doc - 11/9/2010
It was not a monster week, but once again we turned in a profit for the weekend for our football picks, gaining +10 units ($100 bettors made $840). I thought the college football schedule lacked quality plays, especially in the Big Ten, as three games had a team favored by 20 or more points. This week the Big Ten looks real attractive, and especially so for one encounter. This game will be selected as our, “Big Ten Game of the Year.”
