D – “Dancing with the Stars”. US women's national treasure Hope Solo and Los Angeles Lakers bi-polar forward Ron Artest were both tabbed to be a part of the latest “Dancing With the Stars” series. Hopefully this is a gateway move to Playboy for Solo. Solo and Artest will join such F-list celebrities as Robert Kardashian, Kristin Cavallari, Nancy Grace, Ricki Lake and David Arquette. The show will debut on Sept.19 and Artest will likely be eliminated by Sept. 20.

B – Buccaneers. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are replacing their paper playbooks with iPad 2s. The Buccaneers bought 90 iPad 2's at a cost of around $600 each for players and coaches, so it looks like Tampa Bay has finally spent some of that $50 million of salary cap room they had. This is probably why Steve Jobs retired.

A – Auburn/Alabama. Deadbeat moms and dads throughout the state of Alabama fell for the oldest trick in the book when they received a letter claiming they had won tickets to the Iron Bowl. It was really a sting operation named Operation Iron Snare that lured the deadbeats to a location where they would be handed fake tickets and then arrested while being recorded by local television. The sting landed more than a dozen people in jail and collectively the group owed around $270,000 in child support.

C – Cream Machine. Paula “The Cream Machine” Creamer turned 25 on Aug. 5, and I’m sure she received plenty of presents, but she also gave male women’s golf fans everywhere a present too by wearing a ridiculously short mini skirt and posing for plenty of pictures, too, that she posted on Twitter for her 60,000 followers to ogle at.

A – Alex Rodriguez. Imagine sitting at a poker table with Spiderman (Tobey Maguire), Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio), Dougie MacRay from Charlestown (Ben Affleck), Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) and Alex Rodriguez playing himself. Well, apparently these poker games once took place and now MLB is looking into it because baseball players are held at higher standards all of a sudden. The high stakes, illegal games allegedly apparently took place around 2009 at the Beverly Hills mansion owned by some record label guy name Cody Leibel.

A– app. Hope Solo of US Women's Soccer fame is now featured in a 15-minute workout routine available on iTunes with the Nike Training Club App. The routine gives subscribers a chance to work out like a pro and a chance to watch Solo in low-rise stretchy pants and a sports bra. It's not Playboy, but it’s getting closer. With the way Solo is dressed during the workout video, the app will likely result in many one-handed workouts.

D – Divorcing. Tiger Woods is divorcing again, this time with his long time caddie, Steve Williams. The sometimes dynamic duo has been together since 1999. Now that Woods sucks at golf and since he has already been divorced by Elin Nordgren and he already divorced his swing coach, his caddie was the next logical step. Of course, Williams cannot be mad.

A – August issue of Men’s Journal. In arguably the most quote-worthy and inflammatory interview ever conducted, Steelers linebacker James Harrison took a flamethrower to as many people as humanly possibly in a shocking interview even for Harrison’s standards. The headline, “James Harrison: Confessions of an NFL Hitman,” features a picture of a shirtless Harrison crossing a pair of his own guns, an FN Five-Seven pistol and a Smith & Wesson 460V revolver, against his bare chest. Even the alarming picture does not prepare readers for the fury Harrison unleashes on the NFL in the interview which is detailed throughout this week’s A-Z.

D – Defensive Rookie of the Year. The NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year award is a wide open field according to the oddsmakers. Patrick Peterson, the No. 5 overall pick out of LSU by Arizona, is the favorite at +400, but the field is tightly packed around him with Nick Fairley (+500), Von Miller (+500), Marcell Dareus (+600), Jimmy Smith (+800) and Prince Amukamara (+800) all receiving decent odds.

C – Chateau Las Vegas. Khloe Kardashian celebrated her 27th birthday at Chateau Night Club in Las Vegas with her husband, Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom, her sister, Kim Kardashian and Kim’s fiancй, New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries. Her other sister Kourtney Kardashian was not in attendance, probably because she is not married to or engaged to an NBA player. Khloe’s brother Rob Kardashian was also there; no word on whether or not he is dating a WNBA player.

B – Britt, Kenny. If this NFL lockout carries on just imagine what might become of Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt. He has spent his free time running afoul of the law as many times as possible. A day after pleading guilty to reckless driving, Britt was arrested again on two counts of resisting arrest. I'm pretty sure this is what Ray Lewis was alluding to when he said crime will go up if there is no NFL season.

C – Caroline Wozniacki. The smoking hot Danish tennis player has been bounced from the French Open in the third round with a loss to the 28th-ranked player who we are not even going to name. Wozniacki was the No. 1-ranked player in the world and the No. 1 reason men watched the French Open this year.

A – Andrews, Erin. Michelle Beadle is one of us. That much was clear with her latest revelation that she watched Erin Andrews naked behind (and front) for the better part of three minutes, in the famous peephole video. "Who didn’t watch that video?" Beadle asked. Amen. Beadle, a guy in a girls well-put-together body with blonde hair and a sick job at ESPN, went on to say, "she looked fabulous." Amen. Beadle went on to toss a few darts at Andrews, talking about how she vaulted into stardom after the peepshow video to appear on “Oprah” and “Dancing with the Stars” etc…, "Funny how that all worked out," Beadle said.

A – Anna Kournikova. Despite never really winning much of anything on the tennis circuit, Anna Kournikova was able to buy a 6,600 square-foot, seven-bedroom, eight-bath, ivy-covered, Mediterranean waterfront mansion on Sunset Island in South Beach. Well, you too can own that mansion without being any good at tennis because it is now on the market for $9.4 million, because we are assuming Kournikova is broke. The palace has everything, including a two-story guesthouse and an incredible pool which we assume was a lot more fun when Anna still lived there. One thing noticeably absent from her mansion with everything is a tennis court.

B – Boise State. The Broncos are looking more and more like a big-time college football program every day. First there were the BCS bowl games and then the exodus of players to the NFL and now come the NCAA accusations of major violations and infractions over a five-year period. Boise State is probably just trying to fit in.

A – Albert Haynesworth. As an overweight, overpaid, $100 million Washington Redskin disaster, Albert Haynesworth does not like a lot of things. He does not like to practice, he does not like to stay in shape and apparently he does not even like black girls. On trial for sexual abuse allegations that he fondled a waitresses' breast while swiping his credit card through her cleavage, a security guard revealed what Haynesworth told him, "I didn’t touch her. I don’t even like black girls."

A – Andy Roddick's wife. In the best news for sports fans besides the NFL lockout ending, Brooklyn Decker has posed topless for the first time. The Sports Illustrated cover model finally bared her cans for a Mark Squires photo shoot. I speak for everybody reading this when I say thank you Mark Squires, whoever you are.

B – Babies. Talk about a futures bet, for those very few patient degenerate gamblers out there, Bodog has rolled out a few proposition bets on the Royal Wedding that deal with the couple's first child. You can wager on the whether the child will be a boy (-105) or girl (-105). For the more adventurous you can also wager on if the pregnancy will result in twins, ‘yes’ is +2500, ‘no’ is –5000 and this prop comes with a unique stipulation not often seen in sports betting (must have a child for action).

A – Aaron Rodgers. Two months ago Aaron Rodgers realized his destiny and led the Green Bay Packers to the Super Bowl. Now he has found a San Diego bartender named Destiny Newton and has led her to the beaches of Hawaii. The latest in a line of bombshells to be spotted with Rodgers, Newton is a college student from southern California and likely not related to Cam Newton.

V – Vanessa Hudgens. For the second time in the past few years, nude pictures of Disney pop tart Vanessa Hudgens have surfaced on the internet. The next obvious step in the career of the 22-year-old actress is to start appearing regularly at Lakers game and she has done just that. This week she was spotted courtside at the Lakers/Hornets game wearing a “Lakers are for Lovers” mid drift shirt fully exposing her pierced bellybutton, so at least Hudgens hasn’t gone gun shy since the pictures were leaked.
