Bills vs. Texans Predictions for NFL Props Wagering
by Chris Vasile - 1/3/2020
After waiting over 17 years to get back into the playoffs, the Buffalo Bills find themselves in the postseason for the second time in three seasons after putting together a solid 10-6 campaign that earned them the first wild-card spot. The Bills had their chances at claiming the division but lost both games to the New England Patriots, which was ultimately their undoing.
Titans vs. Patriots Predictions for Best NFL Prop Bets
by Chris Vasile - 1/3/2020
In a somewhat surprising scheduling quirk, the NFL has decided to put both AFC games on the same day, and so we get the Titans and Patriots in primetime on Saturday night. I don't mind that move from the perspective of the entire sports world getting to see the Patriots lose a playoff game at home for the first time in what seems like four million years.
NFL Betting Odds: Week 17 Line Movements and Last-Minute News
by Chris Vasile - 12/27/2019
And just like that, Week 17 of the NFL season is upon us, and we couldn't be sadder to see another NFL regular season come and go. It's been an up-and-down season with a few highlights, a lot of mediocre play, some terrible officiating and atrocious team performance, but such is life when talking about the National Football League.
Week 17 NFL Picks: Best 6-Point Teaser Bets from Handicapper Doug Upstone
by Doug Upstone - 12/26/2019
It looked like we had a 4-0 week locked up, having Seattle at a reduced number for NFL teasers, but they were even more off their game than we thought they might be and lost outright to Arizona. Still, a 3-1 record is not a bad week, and we made a little cash on NFL picks, taking season record to 44-20 on teasers. While I'll fall short of my annual goal, a profit will be made, and we'll move ahead to close out this article for the season.
NFL Playoff Scenarios Week 17 with Expert Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/24/2019
It's really quite amazing heading into Week 17 of the NFL season how little we really know about what is to come in the playoffs. We know who the first and fifth seeds are in the AFC, and the sixth seed in the NFC, but everything else could change in the final week. It makes for an exciting and confusing weekend of action. To help clear your confusion up, here are the NFL playoff scenarios heading into the weekend:
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 17 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Alan Matthews - 12/23/2019
We are already to the final week of the 2019 regular season (all games on Sunday). Here's hoping these Opening Line Report stories were of some betting value to you this year, and God-willing we will be back to do them again for 2020. That's not to say our work is done for this football season, of course, as Doc's will have everything NFL covered all the way through the Super Bowl.
NFL Betting Odds: Week 16 Line Movements and Last-Minute News
by Chris Vasile - 12/20/2019
This is it, folks. The penultimate week of the NFL regular season is upon us, and I couldn't be more excited for this week's slate of games if I tried. Not only do we have a tripleheader on Saturday, but each game brings something to the table to be excited about. The Texans are trying to lock up the AFC South, but they will have their hands full with the high-octane Bucs. The Patriots and Bills are clashing in Foxboro for what is essentially a division title as the Bills need to win out and hope the Patriots lose both games to claim their first division title in 20+ years.

NFL Betting Advice: How to Handle the Patriots Heading Towards Playoffs
by Trevor Whenham - 12/20/2019
The New England Patriots' bandwagon has more room on it than we have seen in a long time. It has become very popular - especially since losses to the Texans and Chiefs, with the latter breaking a 21-game home winning streak - to declare the era of the Patriots dead. Or at least on life support. But is it? How do we deal with the ever-present force this year? Is anything different than past years? And how? So many questions. Let's seek some answers:
Week 16 NFL Picks: Best 6-Point Teaser Bets from Handicapper Doug Upstone
by Doug Upstone - 12/18/2019
All I can say about last week is you and I were robbed. No, I didn't have the Eagles/Redskins side or the total on the Cardinals/49ers clash. Instead, I had the Raiders for NFL picks at -0.5. And after Derek Carr slid in bounds for a first down, which would have likely run out the clock and given Oakland the victory, they officials somehow ruled him out of bounds and Jacksonville ended up winning. The NFL called the Raiders and apologized for the error; I'm still waiting for my call.
NFL Playoff Scenarios Week 16 with Expert Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/18/2019
We are 15 weeks into a 17-week NFL season, and we don't know a whole lot about what the postseason will look like. That's not entirely true - we know who eight of the 12 playoff teams are going to be, and we can make a pretty confident guess about two others. But not a single team is locked into a specific playoff spot, so there is a whole lot left to be determined.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 16 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Alan Matthews - 12/16/2019
No question that the Lame-Duck Coaching Bowl in Week 16 is Jacksonville at Atlanta. I'm frankly stunned that Falcons didn't fire Dan Quinn when the team was 1-7 entering its Week 9 bye, and equally shocked that the Jaguars didn't dump Doug Marrone following a fifth straight blowout loss in Week 14. Both teams did pull off road upsets Sunday, though.
NFL Betting Odds: Week 15 Line Movements and Last-Minute News
by Chris Vasile - 12/13/2019
As if we needed any more convincing, Lamar Jackson went out on Thursday Night Football and cemented his place atop the MVP race with an emphatic five-touchdown performance. There is no catching him in the MVP race as the second-year pivot out of Louisville will add that major trophy to go along with his Heisman Trophy and potentially (looking increasingly likely) a Super Bowl Ring.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Best 6-Point Teaser Bets from Handicapper Doug Upstone
by Doug Upstone - 12/11/2019
Last week I stated I wanted to close the season strong on NFL teasers and got off to a good start at 3-1, taking season record to 39-17. That is not where I wanted to be for NFL picks but can only strive to maximize what is left for the 2019 season.
NFC East Odds: Predictions for NFL's Worst Division
by Trevor Whenham - 12/10/2019
It is hard to believe that it is possible for a division in the NFL to be as bad as the NFC East is right now. These guys are supposed to be pros. At the way things are going right now, if these teams had any pride, they would all just forfeit the rest of the season and let real teams contest the postseason. With their win on Monday night, the Eagles moved to 6-7.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 15 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Alan Matthews - 12/9/2019
Texas Tech transfer Baker Mayfield won the Heisman Trophy in a record-setting season at Oklahoma in 2017, was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and had a fine rookie year, finishing second for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year behind a first-round running back (the Giants' Saquon Barkley).
NFL Betting Odds: Week 14 Line Movements and Last-Minute News
by Chris Vasile - 12/6/2019
As we approach the final few weeks of the season, I have to give a shout out to Jason Garrett. I'm not too sure what kind of blackmail he has on Jerry Jones that's enabling him to keep his job for the duration of this season or in failed seasons of the past, but it has to be something juicy. If his name was John Doe and he didn't clap excessively for no reason, he likely would have been canned a long time ago given the fact that the Cowboys roster is chock-full of high-end talent, yet they continue to disappoint year in and year out.

Best and Worst NFL Betting Teams Against the Spread
by Trevor Whenham - 12/6/2019
We are entering the final quarter of the NFL season. In fact, as I write this, it is late Thursday night, so the Cowboys and Bears are already into the final quarter. As we get ready for the stretch drive, it's a good time to check in on the teams that have been very good to bettors so far this year and those that really haven't -- the betting studs and duds of the NFL season so far.
