Weekly Public Action Football Betting Report with Predictions 9/19/2024
by Joey House - 9/19/2024
Last week was the first week we analyzed the NFL, and what a week it was, going a perfect 3-0 and earning the PAR's first clean sweep. I don't break down the first week of the NFL season, because those lines had been posted for months and trampled on by the heathens. Our featured selection of Green Bay +3 over Indianapolis hit, as the Packers won 16-10 outright. The two other plays were underdog winners: Cleveland and the New York Jets. The college plays were not as great, as we went 1-2 in our highlighted plays and 4-4 overall.
Best NFL Teaser Bets Week 3: Basic Strategy Teasers
by Mike Allen - 9/18/2024
Sports betting is becoming more popular around the country every year. Football, particularly the NFL, is leading the way in American sports. Once upon a time, we only had the moneyline to bet on, and eventually, the point spread and total came along. With the rise of fantasy football, betting on player performance props each week has become popular and even profitable for some. Betting parlays can be a lot of fun, well, until one of the legs crumbles under you. We don’t generally recommend betting parlays. However, teasers can be good value.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 3 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Spencer Toth - 9/16/2024
The second week of NFL action is now behind us, and there is no time to waste in locking in your NFL Week 3 picks. A one-point difference between the opening and closing lines may not appear to make a difference, but that critical extra value can be the difference between winning and losing in the long run. By locking in your Week 3 picks now, you can avoid worrying about line movement as the games inch closer.
Best NFL Teaser Bets Week 2: Basic Strategy Teasers
by Mike Allen - 9/10/2024
Making money betting on the NFL is one of the hardest things a human can do. This is especially true when chasing those pesky point spreads every week. The juice is worth the squeeze if you do your homework. However, I'm sure there have been multiple memorable occasions where you were forced to watch your break turn bad in the final minutes of a game.
NFL Betting Predictions: Week 2 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Spencer Toth - 9/9/2024
The first week of NFL action is in the books, and it’s now time to look ahead at Week 2’s opening lines. While the differences between an opening and closing line may only be a point or two, these valuable edges can be the difference-maker when trying to generate a profit throughout the NFL season. By locking in your bet at the best number possible, you can increase your chances when NFL Sunday comes rolling around.
2024 Baltimore Ravens Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 9/4/2024
Last season, the Baltimore Ravens finished with the best record in not only the AFC, but the entire league, as they finished 13-4 with a league leading +203-point differential. The Ravens scored 483 points last season, which was the second highest total in the AFC, while their 280 points allowed were the lowest in the NFL. Unfortunately for Ravens fans, their season came to an end in the Conference Championship of the playoffs as Baltimore fell to the eventual Super Bowl Champs, the Kansas City Chiefs, 17-10.
Best NFL Teaser Bets Week 1: Basic Strategy Teasers
by Mike Allen - 9/4/2024
It's officially Week 1 of the 2024 NFL regular season. Handicappers and recreational bettors alike have had months to make their Week 1 picks. I have some spots I like with the point spread given by the sportsbooks. However, betting on the NFL isn't easy, and those point spreads have been the death of many good men.
2024 Kansas City Chiefs Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 9/3/2024
Last season could not have gone any better for the Kansas City Chiefs as they went on to win the Super Bowl in overtime, over the San Francisco 49ers, beating them 25-22. The start to the regular season is what propelled Kansas City into the playoffs as they started the year 6-1. The back half of their regular season schedule wasn’t kind to them as they went just 5-5.
2024 Houston Texans Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 9/3/2024
Last season, the Texans were one of the best surprise stories as they made their way to the playoffs thanks to QB C.J. Stroud. After a slow 3-4 start, the Texans finished the season going 7-4, won the AFC South, and made it to the second round of the playoffs. They completely destroyed the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the playoffs, winning by a score of 45-14, but then fell to the Baltimore Ravens 34-10 in the Divisional Round.
2024 New York Jets Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 8/31/2024
Thanks to the Aaron Rodgers Achilles injury early in the season, the New York Jets 2023 season was derailed, and they limped their way to a 7-10 record, despite being a playoff caliber team heading into the year. Their offense struggled the whole season, averaging just 15.8 PPG, which ranked 29th in the NFL, and their 268.6 YPG was ranked 31st.
2024 NFL MVP Odds and Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/30/2024
It’s been a ton of fun writing these NFL futures articles throughout the preseason. However, I’m more excited about today’s article than any we’ve done so far. Even though this season’s contenders for the NFL MVP award are predominantly all quarterbacks, the true meaning of “most valuable player” has always intrigued me. The award isn’t for the best player in the league, necessarily. It goes to the most valuable, the player that has the most worth.
Predictions and Best Bets for NFL Quarterbacks Season Long Props
by Mike Allen - 8/30/2024
The 2024 NFL Regular Season is rapidly approaching, and the discussion about who is the best quarterback in the league once again is null, moot, and void. All hail Patrick Mahomes. Statistics, though, well, that's a different story. I am certainly not high on Dak Prescott as a winning quarterback in the postseason. However, he is a fantasy freak, cashing bettors' tickets throughout the year as the Dallas Cowboys bully up on weaker foes.
Predictions and Best Bets for NFL Wide Receiver Season Long Props
by Mike Allen - 8/30/2024
They say the NFL is a passing league. I would like to say otherwise, but it’s hard to argue against that. Last season, 28 pass catchers surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark. We had all wide receivers and one tight end out of that bunch. At the top in 2023 were Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb, who racked up 1,799 and 1,749 yards, respectively.
WAGs of NFL: Who has the largest social media following and earning potential?
by Jeremy Block - 8/30/2024
The influencer game has proven to be a gold mine for NFL players' wives and girlfriends (WAGs). With the latest scoop from Doc’s Sports, we dive into the social media power of these WAGs, revealing just how much they’re making. Some are already rolling in the dough like there’s no tomorrow. Here’s the rundown from Doc's NFL Picks team. Check out the top 10 earners as they show off their impressive reach and potential earnings from Instagram and TikTok.
2024 Miami Dolphins Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 8/28/2024
Last season, the Miami Dolphins finished 11-6 and second in the AFC East after the Bills held the tiebreaker over their division opponents. Miami had a +105-point differential, which was the fifth most in the league a year ago, and their 496 points scored was the second most in the NFL. They did lose their momentum as the season went on, finishing the regular season 2-3, including a key loss to the Bills in Week 18, and then fell 26-7 to Kansas City in the first round of the playoffs.
NFL Week 1 Best Bets with Betting Odds and Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/28/2024
We are just over a week away from the 2024 NFL opener/AFC Title game rematch. The only difference is the game will be played in Kansas City. The premier matchups don't end there. The next night, we are treated to an NFC showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers down in Brazil. The city of Sao Paulo plays host to the first-ever NFL game played in South America. I'm leaning towards the under 49 points as this is Week 1, a primetime game, and on a continent where the league has yet to venture.
Who Will Be the Last NFL Winless Team? Odds and Betting Predictions
by Mike Allen - 8/28/2024
Recently, we covered some betting odds and predicted which team would be the last to lose a game in the 2024 regular season. Today, let's flip that one over and do our best to predict which NFL team will be the last to record a win. Will it be the New England Patriots? I was high on the idea of Jacoby Brissett. He has since stunk up the preseason, and it looks like Drake Maye will be under center from Week 1. The rookie from North Carolina has looked decent in preseason games so far.
2024 Buffalo Bills Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 8/27/2024
After a 6-6 start to the season, the Bills ended the season with a 5-0 tear, finishing 11-6 on the season and a division win. Every Bills loss last season, including their postseason loss to the Chiefs, was a one possession game, carrying an average margin of defeat of -4.1 PPG. Their season would come to an end, falling in the Divisional Round to the Chiefs 27-24.
2024 Washington Commanders Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 8/24/2024
Last season was one to forget for the Washington Commanders, as they went just 4-13 and ended the season on an eight-game losing streak. Their -189-point differential was the worst in the NFL, and their 1-7 home record was the second worst in the league. They were also the only team to allow more than 500 points last season. To add salt to the wound, the Commanders did not win a game against their NFC East opponents.
2024 New York Giants Predictions with Odds to Win the Super Bowl
by Ryan Cobbett - 8/23/2024
Last season was one to forget for the Giants, as they went on to finish 6-11 with a -141-point differential on the year. The Giants were one of the worst road teams last season, going just 2-7 away from home. New York was also one of just five teams to fail to score more than 300 points last season.
