The NBA is approaching postseason action, but there’s still a mess at the bottom of the West when it comes to playoff seeding. All the Trail Blazers and Grizzlies need to do is win their games on Thursday. If they don’t, and the Phoenix Suns or San Antonio Spurs are able to get wins, things can change in the bubble quickly for the play-in game between the 8th and 9th seed in the West. Here’s are my thoughts on August 13’s slate in the NBA.

The NBA will have six more games for Thursday’s slate. One of the matchups taking place will be between two undefeated bubble teams in the Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns. We’ll also have a game between two struggling bubble teams in the Dallas Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers. Both of these teams are desperate for a second win. Meanwhile, the Blazers are healthy and facing a Nuggets team that isn’t nearly as healthy. The Blazers have been where the Nuggets have been health wise, so they’re not feeling sorry. The NBA season is back after a long pause due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The NBA will be playing their games in Orlando, where they’ve built a bubble to prevent the spread of the virus between their players and staff. With protocols in place, the NBA is finally able to finish their season and then move into the playoffs with a different playoff picture set-up. There are some big names and faces that have opted out of the season, including basically the entire Nets roster.

We're another week into the NBA and the storylines are getting more intriguing daily. The Nets are visiting the Celtics and this was a spot where Kyrie Irving was supposed to return to TD Garden and dominate the Celtics. Kyrie's done for the year. The Clippers are playing the Thunder. Paul George will return to Chesapeake Energy Arena where there will be lots of boos in the crowd when he touches the ball. Then we've got the 76ers visiting the Lakers. Three of the four biggest stars in that game could be sidelined. Here are the early leans for March 3 in the NBA.
