The Ferringo Method – Sports Betting System by a Proven Winner
by Robert Ferringo - 10/20/2014
The truly talented, moneymaking handicappers are a lot tougher to find. And when people do find handicappers like myself they think it is some kind of parlor trick or black magic. They think that we are somehow fortunetellers or soothsayers. But the reality is actually a lot more boring and simple than that.
AHL Hockey Betting: Expert Tips and Wagering Advice
by Trevor Whenham - 10/14/2014
As betting on hockey deservedly becomes more popular, an interesting phenomenon has become more common as well — sportsbooks are offering odds on AHL action. For those not in the know, the AHL is the American Hockey League, the primary league for NHL farm teams. Squads are stocked mostly with prospects trying to break into the NHL or veterans rehabbing from injury or looking to restart a faltering career.
This Week in Sports Betting, A-Z
by Ricky Dimon - 8/7/2014
The Bengals signal-caller signed a six-year, $115 million contract extension on Monday. Specific terms of the deal have Dalton making $22 million within the first six months. Not bad, Big Red. Sports Interaction has the Bengals as +2.5 underdogs at Baltimore in Week 1.
Tour de France Picks and Betting Odds
by Trevor Whenham - 7/10/2014
The Tour de France had a unique setup this year. With no team time trial, and no individual time trial until the second last day, combined with four reasonably easy days to start of the tour, we really hadn’t seen the start of the race until stage 5. It was like the first four days were a preseason.
Five to Follow MLB Betting: Friday June 13, 2014 Opening Line Report
by Alan Matthews - 6/13/2014
You have to wonder if teams like the Yankees or Rangers are kicking themselves for not signing free-agent Kendrys Morales when they had the chance. The Minnesota Twins were the surprise winners for his services late last week, and he's been terrific so far. The Twins could be buyers ahead of the trade deadline as well as they are just 3.5 games out of first in the AL Central and 2.5 games out of the wild-card lead. Here's a look at their matchup and four others on Friday's schedule.

With a new collective bargaining agreement the league has provided a solid future, and the WNBA always makes the summer nicer with positive betting opportunities. Just this weekend alone you will be able to bet 11 WNBA games starting Friday night, and this should be another outstanding WNBA season.

Olympic Hockey Odds and Medal Games Picks
by Trevor Whenham - 2/20/2014
The final four of the Olympic hockey tournament is a little bit shocking, and it was almost extremely shocking. Few people — least of all Vladimir Putin — expected the Russians to be done in the quarterfinals, yet they lost to Finland on Wednesday morning. Canada almost suffered a far more humiliating loss when Latvia’s goalie almost singlehandedly led his squad to one of the biggest upsets in Olympic history by making 55 saves. The Canadians pulled it out late with a 2-1 win, though. The Americans and the Swedes won easily to advance.

2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Futures Odds and Betting Picks
by Dave Schwab - 2/12/2014
NASCAR is getting ready to fire up its engines for the start of another season of Sprint Cup racing, and Bovada has released its updated futures odds for which driver will bring home this year’s title. The following is a look at my betting picks for winner, a few contenders and my top-valued longshot to win this season’s Sprint Cup.
Olympic Betting Picks: Best Wagering Opportunities
by Trevor Whenham - 2/11/2014
The men’s event was a disaster from a betting perspective. Favorite Bode Miller had a bad day, and most of the top contenders did as well. The conditions were tough and the course is brutal, and it created problems. This isn’t going to be any easier. The final training run was cancelled because temperatures were too high so the snow was too soft.
Winter Olympics Props Betting: Jamaican Bobsled Odds and Picks
by Trevor Whenham - 2/11/2014
When I sit in my living room here in Calgary and look out the window and across the valley a couple of miles I see Canada Olympic Park, the home of the bobsled track used in the 1988 Winter Olympics. It was right there that the legend of the Jamaican bobsled team was born 26 years ago, and where “Cool Runnings,” an all-time great sports movie, was shot soon after.
Winter Olympics Hockey Picks with Odds and Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 2/7/2014
It’s not the case everywhere, I’m sure, but here in Canada where I live there isn’t much people are talking about other than the Winter Olympic hockey tournament. Excitement really started building a month ago when the rosters were announced. Now that we are just days away from the start of play, people are positively giddy. Whether you are as obsessed as Canadian hockey fans or just mildly interested, the Olympic hockey action deserves some attention.
Winter Olympics Medal Count Odds and Picks
by Trevor Whenham - 2/5/2014
When it comes to both overall medal counts and gold medal totals at the upcoming Sochi Winter Olympics, both are a five-country race. The U.S., Norway, Russia, Canada and Germany are the only countries with the depth and talent required to potentially come out on top. Bovada is one of the sportsbooks offering props on both races. Here’s a look at the potential value:
NCAA Tournament Picks and Field Predictions, Jan. 8
by Robert Ferringo - 1/8/2014
For most college basketball programs in the country, a successful season comes down to just one thing: making it to the NCAA Tournament. Every team starts the season hoping for an invite to The Big Dance, and while there can be only one National Champion, most schools consider a slot in the Field of 68 and a chance at cutting down the nets as a victory in and of itself.
NFL Predictions: Eagles at Cowboys Week 17 Odds
by Alan Matthews - 12/26/2013
When I wrote my NFL week-ahead story on Monday, I expected the story of the week, especially on ESPN, to be Eagles at Cowboys in their winner-take-all for the NFC East title on Sunday night. I certainly didn't expect why it became such a gigantic news event: the apparent season-ending injury to Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
NFL Predictions: Saints at Panthers Week 16 Odds
by Alan Matthews - 12/17/2013
It's a huge game in Charlotte on Sunday, the biggest for the Panthers franchise since the 2008 season when they host New Orleans. Whichever team wins this game is likely to win the NFC South -- the Saints will with a win regardless while Carolina can't automatically clinch yet because New Orleans won the first matchup. However, Carolina should be able to win in Week 17 at Atlanta.
College Basketball Predictions: Gardner-Webb at Duke Odds and Picks
by George Monroy - 12/16/2013
The Duke Blue Devils will be back in action after nearly two full weeks off. The team has not played since its huge win over the Michigan Wolverines during the beginning of the month and will now face the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs in a tune-up game before its big matchup against the UCLA Bruins on Thursday night. The Blue Devils are ranked No. 8 in the nation after falling to the Arizona Wildcats, and they have already faced a tough schedule filled with nation’s top schools.
NHL Predictions: Blues at Senators Odds and Picks
by George Monroy - 12/16/2013
What a different world it must be to a St. Louis Blues fan this season. The team lost three of four games to end November, and to begin December and fans were already wondering aloud “what was wrong with the Blues?”. St. Louis dispelled any fears that it might be heading for its first real slump of the year by winning three-games in a row, which included a dominant victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs. St. Louis is still on the Chicago Blackhawks’ heels for the Central Division lead and is one of the few teams in the entire NHL with 22 wins on the season.
