NHL Totals Betting Advice: Hot and Cold Over and Under Teams 11/24/2023
by Ryan Cobbett - 11/24/2023
We are now nearing the end of the second calendar month of the season, and the separation within the divisions contenders and basement dwellers are starting to take shape. Boston has yet to lose a home game in regulation, the Kings have not lost a single away game so far, and the Blue Jackets have lost nine in a row. Vancouver still showcases four players in the top 15 in the league in points, and both Bruins goaltenders rank in the top 10 in almost all major goalie categories.
Expert NHL Handicapping Roundup + Saturday Free Pick for 11/18/2023
by Ryan Cobbett - 11/17/2023
Another Friday dawn is upon us, and that means we are here for another edition of our NHL Friday Roundup. In this article we will go over four new trends that have presented themselves, and with that, four new teams we have yet to mention in our Roundup series. Since last Friday, we have had our first coach firing as Edmonton jettisoned Jay Woodcroft as they try to keep their playoff hopes afloat. The Rangers are for real and should be considered as a candidate to hoist Stanley (+1100 on DraftKings). Minnesota’s goalie issues have been overshadowed by the Oilers issues, but the Wild are struggling to win games due to their poor netminding. Now let’s take a look at some new trends that are in the works around the league.
NHL Totals Betting Advice: Hot and Cold Over and Under Teams
by Ryan Cobbett - 11/16/2023
We are just under 20 games into the season, and already there have been some major shakeups compared to offseason thinking. Edmonton was the first to fire their coach… who would’ve thought? But the Oilers are 2-0 under their new leader. The Canucks have three guys tied for the team lead in points with 26, and yes that also leads the league. Vancouver is now tied with the reigning Vegas Golden Knights atop the Pacific Division thanks to their three-headed offensive monster and their dominating netminder.
Expert NHL Handicapping Roundup + Saturday Free Pick for 11/11/2023
by Ryan Cobbett - 11/10/2023
It’s time for another NHL Friday roundup. Last week we thought the Sharks were doomed, but don’t look now but San Jose has now won back-to-back games and no longer sit alone at the bottom of the league standings as Edmonton finds themselves in a peculiar spot with just five points thus far. After being mentioned in last week’s article, Edmonton went 0-3 with a -8 goal-differential this last week and now sit at 2-9-1. I hope you have caught on by now, but the Canucks are a good team that may end up being great. Since last week’s mention, they are 3-0 ATS, still lead the league in goals, and have allowed the second least number of goals this season. I would still endorse fading Edmonton, while backing Vancouver let’s take a look at four more notable betting trends for the week ahead.
Hot and Cold NHL Betting Teams: Moneyline and ATS
by Ryan Cobbett - 11/8/2023
As we start another week filled with hockey, let’s take a look at some trends that have been established through teams’ first 10-12 games. Vegas and Vancouver, Dallas and Colorado, NYR and New Jersey, and Boston and Detroit find themselves at the top of their respective divisions at this point in the season, while teams like San Jose, Edmonton, and Calgary could not have imagined a worse start. The Oilers might be bad, but even I say that with a laugh because surely Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl figure it out… right?

by Ryan Cobbett - 11/3/2023
As we enter the second month of the season, it is time to take our first deep dive into some betting trends that were established through the first nine or 10 games each team has played. Last night’s slate gave us fans a reminder on just how intensely competitive this sport is, even in the regular season. Boston blew a 2-0 lead in all of five minutes before winning in a shootout over division opponent Toronto, Dallas went into Edmonton and beat the (not so?) high-flying Oilers with backup netminder Scott Wedgewood, and the Rangers beat Carolina thanks to a late goal by Will Cuylle.

The Conn Smythe Trophy has emerged as the pinnacle of individual recognition in the NHL world. The spectacle of the award lies in its diversity, with winners coming from all positions on the ice. Wingers, centers, defensemen, and goalies have all claimed the coveted trophy, showcasing the overall talent within the NHL. The Vegas Golden Knights will go to battle with the Dallas Stars in the NHL’s 2023 Western Conference Final. The series will begin Friday night in Sin City as Vegas is the higher seed and receives home ice advantage. The VGK are priced as small favorites in the Western Conference Final series despite Dallas winning the regular season series. Florida Panthers vs. Carolina Hurricanes Series Predictions with Betting Odds
by Matt Zitt - 5/17/2023
Not many people would have predicted the Hurricanes vs. Panthers, with the winner moving on to play for the Stanley Cup. But here we are in May and both teams have entered the Eastern Conference Finals. Both teams were among the favorites in the preseason to lift Lord Stanley’s Cup. However, as the season wound down, both teams were basically counted out.
NHL Betting Advice: Hot and Cold Teams for Wagering 1/9/2023
by Ryan Cobbett - 1/9/2023
As we approach the midway point of the 2022-23 NHL season, we are starting to separate the contenders from the pretenders. As of today, the Bruins are the top dogs, sitting with 66 points, nine more points than the second-best mark (Hurricanes 57). Three teams have yet to cross the 30-point mark, as the Blue Jackets, Blackhawks, and Ducks find themselves at the bottom of the barrel. We saw the Devils get off to a dominating start, but they have cooled of late, going 4-5-1 in their last 10 games.
2022-23 Detroit Red Wings Predictions and Futures Odds Picks
by Ben Pessah-Berlin - 10/10/2022
This Detroit Red Wings team made some strides last year. Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond arrived in Detroit with a splash and made the team fun to watch, especially considering the absolutely awful seasons leading up to last year. Seider won the Calder Trophy as the league’s top rookie, and suddenly the team has hope. This team had an interesting offseason in which they were quite busy making it an exciting year if you are a Detroit fan.

NHL Eastern Conference Finals Predictions: New York Rangers vs Tampa Bay Lightning
by Devon Rymarchuk - 5/31/2022
The back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay Lightning find themselves in very familiar territory as they face off against the New York Rangers, who are coming off a blowout Game 7 win against the Carolina Hurricanes. Both teams have been led all season and the playoffs by superior goaltending. Igor Shesterkin and Andrei Vasilevskiy are amongst the league’s finest when it comes to goaltending, and both are front runners (best odds) for the Vezina, which is given to the league’s best goalie.

NHL Betting Help: Hot and Cold Moneyline and Puckline
by Cameron McQuade - 4/1/2022
We are officially under one month away until the end of the NHL regular season. The Eastern Conference playoff teams seem to have solidified their spot in the Top 8 and are now just fighting for seeding. The Western Conference is much different, with a great fight between Winnipeg, Dallas, and Vegas. With many meaningful games remaining, it’s important to see which teams are hot and cold to bet accordingly, follow the trends, and know when to fade the trends.
NHL Betting Help: Hot and Cold Moneyline and Over Under
by Josh Weil - 2/20/2022
The NHL season started off with a ton of COVID issues, and the results were truly all over the place. However, now it feels like a normal season again. Hockey betting is very trend happy, especially compared to other sports. As a result, it is very important to realize which teams are scoring goals, conceding them, and winning. We will be focused on the moneyline and game totals here.
Biggest Comebacks in NHL History
by Mike Pruitt - 10/26/2021
In games like hockey, coming back from a large deficit is one of the most difficult things to do in the entire sporting world. Once a team is up a couple of goals, and we have made it at least to the second period, this is when you will see the squad with the lead shift their line into a much more defensive posture.
Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadiens NHL Playoff Series Predictions
by Doc's Sports - 5/18/2021
For these two storied franchises, playoff success has been rather few and far between since Montreal was last able to hoist the Stanley Cup back in 1993. That remains the last time a Canadian team won the Cup. And as such, this championship drought has made the Canadian franchises the butt of any jokes involving the playoffs. For as big a rivalry as the Leafs/Habs has been over the last couple of decades, the fact remains that this is the first playoff meeting between these two clubs since 1979. That’s right, 1979. That’s doesn’t mean there hasn’t a rivalry, it has just been a bit fabricated in terms of legitimate hate towards one another. But boy am I glad to finally see this series come to life.
