Clemson Odds to win the College Football National Championship with Expert Betting Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 7/23/2016
Only Alabama has less to complain about regarding their season last year than the Clemson Tigers do. They finished 14-1 and suffered that only loss in the National Championship Game. Now they return many of their most important players, the coaching staff stays almost entirely intact - the only changes were the addition of two high school coaches in analyst roles, and they have a schedule that sets up well for them.
Stanford Odds to win the College Football National Championship with Expert Betting Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 7/23/2016
The Stanford Cardinal are on quite a roll - they won the Pac-12 last year, and have taken three of the last four conference titles. When you think of where this program was not too long ago when Jim Harbaugh took over, that is truly a remarkable accomplishment. Now, though, they are no longer the plucky upstart, but rather the hunted favorites. Add to that a division that isn't getting any easier - Oregon might not be quite as scary as they were at their peak, but Washington is seriously on the rise - and the pressure in Palo Alto is significant.
Ohio State Odds to win the College Football National Championship with Expert Betting Picks
by Trevor Whenham - 7/5/2016
It pains me to say it, but the fact that this Ohio State team is not only viewed as a top 25 team, but as a legitimate playoff contender, is proof of just how incredible what they are doing in Columbus right now is. I mean, this team has just six starters returning - the fewest in major conference football. They lost 12 guys in the draft last year alone. Five of them went in the first round, and the whole dozen were gone by the end of the fourth. That kind of attrition would crush most programs, or at least cause them to need a year to regroup.
Alabama Odds to win the College Football National Championship with Expert Betting Picks
by Trevor Whenham - 7/5/2016
Is it just me, or is this getting a little boring? Alabama just claimed their fourth National Championship of the decade-long Nick Saban era, and they have been close to one every year they haven't won. They are like a robot program, sent from space to drain the world of national titles. The storyline here is very familiar by this point - they have lost seven guys to the NFL Draft, including all-World running back Derrick Henry, and they need to find a starting QB again, yet on the strength of yet another top-ranked recruiting class they have the parts in place to reload without missing a beat.
Florida State Odds to win the College Football National Championship with Expert Betting Picks
by Trevor Whenham - 7/5/2016
How do you know an organization is in a good place? When, like Florida State last year, they can clearly be in a rebuilding year and still win 10 games. Now, any number of wins has to have an asterisk beside it when a team plays in the ACC right now. They lost at Clemson, were stunned at Georgia Tech, and lost their bowl game badly to Houston, so it was far from a great season. But 10 wins is still 10 wins.
2016 ACC Football Season Win Totals Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Victor Ryan - 6/29/2016
This season the ACC will feature a pair of national title contenders in Clemson and Florida State as well as two teams fully capable of reaching 10 wins in Louisville and North Carolina. The lower tier of the conference should also be improved after some key coaching changes.
2016 Big 12 Football Season Win Totals Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Victor Ryan - 6/29/2016
The Big 12 was represented for the first time in the College Football Playoff last year by conference champion Oklahoma. It was an ignominious introduction for the Big 12 as the Sooners were promptly smashed 37-17 in the semifinals by Clemson.
2016 Pac-12 Football Season Win Totals Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Victor Ryan - 6/27/2016
The four-team College Football Playoff format dictates that at least one champion of a Power 5 conference is left out of the lucrative tournament. Like last year, it could once again be the Pac-12 in 2016. The Pac-12 could be the deepest and most balanced conference in the nation. But it remains to be seen if the teams at the top are truly elite. The recently-released college football win totals from South Point would seem to reflect this idea.
2016 Big Ten Football Season Win Totals Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Victor Ryan - 6/23/2016
The battle for the Big Ten has morphed into all-out war with the arrival of Urban Meyer and Jim Harbaugh to the conference. Ohio State has gone 50-4 with a National Championship in four seasons under Meyer, while Michigan took a major leap forward in its first season with Harbaugh.
2016 SEC Football Season Win Totals Predictions and Expert Betting Advice
by Victor Ryan - 6/14/2016
The SEC captured another National Championship in mid-January when Alabama outlasted Clemson in the title game of the College Football Playoff. It was the eighth time in the past 10 years an SEC school has won college football's National Championship.

Alabama vs. Clemson National Championship Game Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 1/8/2016
There is a real contrast in experience as we get ready for the National Championship Game. Alabama is going for their fourth national title since 2009. They are the most dominant program of our era - and it's not even close. It's not like Clemson is totally coming out of nowhere - they have won a national title, and their first undefeated season came in 1900 - 115 years before they attempt to finish off this one.
NCAA Football Championship Game Betting: Keys for Alabama Win
by Trevor Whenham - 1/7/2016
Alabama is looking to win their fourth national title since 2009. The last came in 2012, and they have had some frustrating bowl losses since then. However, they are renewed and ready - and despite being lower-ranked than Clemson they come into this one favored by as much as a touchdown. Obviously, then, Alabama is capable of winning the National Championship Game. In order to win it all, though, they have to maximize the advantage they have. Here are three keys to their success:
NCAA Football National Championship Game Betting Advice: Keys to Clemson Win
by Trevor Whenham - 1/7/2016
We're down to just two teams in the world of college football. I'll be totally honest when I say that this was not the final I was looking for or expecting. Alabama seemed inevitable, but Oklahoma was, in my eyes, a much better team than they showed in the semis. That's why they play the games, I guess. As this game has drawn closer, though, I have become more excited about the matchup - and more optimistic about the chances of Clemson to pull off an upset.
Oregon vs. TCU Alamo Bowl Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/25/2015
If you don't like scoring then you'll want to find something else to do the day after New Year's day. If you like sound defensive play and slow wars in the trenches then this is definitely not the game for you. If things go at all as expected then this will be one of those games where the team with the last possession wins it. It could be a barn-burner - the kind that burns out fuses in the scoreboard.
Michigan vs. Florida Citrus Bowl Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/25/2015
Both of these schools badly needed a hero after years of crushingly-disappointing performances - at least from the perspective of their fans. Both had endured a rough coaching change in an attempt to replace a legend - Michigan had got it wrong twice. They were both once-proud programs that had gone nowhere in a hurry. It's still too soon to get too excited about things - it has just been one year - but both fan bases sure think that they have found that hero.
Northwestern vs. Tennessee Outback Bowl Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/25/2015
Even knowing that the Outback Bowl is an SEC-Big Ten contest when possible, you would have had to give me about 80 guesses before the season before I came up with this matchup. I expected very little from both teams, yet they won 18 games between them, and both did some very good things. Both come into this game off a five-game winning streak - Northwestern's is somewhat more impressive because they were underdogs three times, while Tennessee merely took care of business against outmatched opponents.
Penn State vs. Georgia TaxSlayer Bowl Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/25/2015
The TaxSlayer Bowl will always live in my mind as what it should forever be known as - the Gator Bowl. I hate nothing more than when bowl names are taken over by a sponsor - especially a sponsor with a name as painful as this one. It's the Gator Bowl and, as a Michigan fan this is a bowl I'll always remember fondly. It's not because of anything the Wolverines have done in the game. It's because in 1978 this was the game in which Woody Hayes ended his coaching career at Ohio State by hitting a Clemson player.
Florida State vs. Houston Peach Bowl Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/25/2015
The first of the major bowl games to be played on New Year's Day is a true David and Goliath tale. In one corner you have a truly elite team just a year removed from a national title. In the other corner you have a school most known lately for producing coaches who shine elsewhere - both Art Briles and Kevin Sumlin coached Houston.
Texas A&M vs. Louisville Music City Bowl Expert Picks & Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 12/25/2015
Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin is a good reminder of how quickly things can change in college football. A couple of years ago he was the hottest coach in the sport. He was winning - games and a Heisman with a freshman - and was widely thought to be one of the best coaches in the sport. A departure for the NFL seemed inevitable at some point - and the only thing that could get in the way of his endless success in College Station.
