by Aaron Smith - 10/13/2016
Week 6 of the college football season is in the books. We're already to the middle of October. Time flies when you are having a good time! College football always seems like it takes so long to get here and then is gone so quickly.
Free College Football Picks: Ohio State at Wisconsin Odds and Expert Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/11/2016
The Big Ten is rolling right now. They have four teams ranked in the Top 10 in the AP Poll, which is far ahead of where even the most optimistic fan of the conference would have imagined them to be at the halfway point in the season. Two of those teams meet here in a big conference battle.
Free NCAA Football Picks: Alabama at Tennessee Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/11/2016
Tennessee managed to pull off something we basically never see last week. They went into their showdown with Texas A&M unbeaten and ranked ninth in the AP Poll. They lost the game in overtime. Somehow, though, they didn't drop a single spot in this week's poll, though, remaining ahead of unbeaten Baylor and Nebraska. That's a whole lot of respect for a program from AP voters.
Free College Football Picks: NC State at Clemson Odds with Expert Betting Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/11/2016
The Tigers started the season on top of the world. They were runner-ups last year, and they had the Heisman favorite at quarterback. But then things went south. Not Oklahoma-style of south - the Tigers are still unbeaten and in prime playoff position. They just didn't instill a lot of confidence after narrowly beating Auburn and just barely handling Troy, though. People lost faith.
NCAA Football Mid-Major Free Betting Picks: Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders Week 7 Predictions
by Aaron Smith - 10/11/2016
After a bye week, the college football mid-major betting report is back and the focus is once again on the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders. They are a team that some have picked to rise toward the top of Conference USA this year. The start of the season has gone relatively well for MTSU, but the next few weeks is when we will find out a lot about this team. Can they take that next step forward?
NCAA Football Betting and Handicapping: Ranking the Unbeatens
by Trevor Whenham - 10/11/2016
Last week we had 15 unbeaten FBS football teams. Now we are down to just 11. Even if everything went perfectly according to plan for the remaining unbeatens, several would fall - Baylor and West Virginia play each other and so do Alabama and Texas A&M. Ohio State plays both Michigan and Nebraska.
NCAA Football Predictions: Week 7 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Alan Matthews - 10/10/2016
So much for a Group of 5 team crashing the College Football Playoff for the first time. Houston was in position to do just that at No. 6 in last week's polls and with already a nice win over Oklahoma, but the Cougars were the biggest losers of Week 6 with a 46-40 defeat against Navy. The Midshipmen turned three Greg Ward Jr. turnovers into 17 points and had 306 yards on the ground against the nation's top-ranked statistical run defense going into the weekend.

So now the SEC has a potentially big problem. That's because Saturday's LSU at No. 18 Florida game was postponed with Hurricane Matthew battering the Sunshine State on Thursday and Friday. The weather should be fine Saturday in Gainesville, but obviously the area could be without power and there are travel issues and police needed elsewhere. It was the right move by the SEC.
Weekly Big Ten Betting Report: Expert Predictions and Analysis
by Chris Vasile - 10/6/2016
Week 5 of the College Football season had pretty much everything you could ever imagine. In the Big Ten alone, there was two overtime games, two blowouts and one Top-10 matchup that was very entertaining despite a 14-7 final. Michigan was able to top Wisconsin in front of 111,000 people at the Big House, but their long-time rival, Ohio State, did them one better by shutting out Rutgers 58-0.
NCAA Football Betting: Fading the Top 25 Weekly Free Picks - Week 6
by Aaron Smith - 10/5/2016
After the Top 25 had a huge day covering spreads last weekend, they fell flat on their face last weekend. Did that help the results of the weekly free picks here? Absolutely! The Associated Press Top 25 as a whole went 8-17 against the spread last week. That's the worst weekend of the year so far for the top teams. For the season, Top 25 teams are covering at only a 44.8 percent clip thus far.
Free College Football Picks: Tennessee at Texas A&M Odds and Expert Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/3/2016
Alabama hasn't really given us any reason to doubt that the SEC is nothing more than a one-team conference this year. This game somewhat surprisingly, though, sets itself up as the contest that will perhaps determine who the biggest threat to Alabama's supremacy is. Alabama is favored by two touchdowns at Arkansas, so they should move to 6-0.
Free College Football Picks: Alabama at Arkansas Odds and Expert Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/3/2016
The first thing we need to address here is that you can still buy retail priced tickets to this game as I write this. Arkansas is relevant for the first time in a while, and they are hosting the top team in the country, yet they can't even sell out their barn? Shameful. For that reason alone the Tide should win this one.
Free NCAA Football Picks: Florida State at Miami Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 10/3/2016
This is not how this was supposed to happen. Florida State was supposed to be unbeaten and cruising towards the only game that mattered - the seemingly annual showdown for ACC supremacy against Clemson. But it sure hasn't turned out that way. First, the Seminoles were totally humiliated by Louisville. They lost by 43, and frankly that was flattering.
NCAA Football Predictions: Week 6 Opening Line Report and Picks
by Alan Matthews - 10/3/2016
Last week, BookMaker came through with a prop on who will replace Les Miles as the LSU coach for next season. Now I'm hoping that or another site puts out a prop this week regarding Charlie Strong's future at Texas and who might be UT's coach next season. I don't see how it will be Strong.
NCAA Football Betting Odds: Week 5 Line Movements & Last-Minute News
by Alan Matthews - 9/30/2016
On my NCAA Opening Line Report story Monday, I wrote about LSU firing Coach Les Miles and that I was sure some site would offer a prop on who the Tigers' next full-time coach would be. BookMaker came through. I said that Houston's Tom Herman and Florida State's Jimbo Fisher would be the two favorites, and they were at +100 and +250, respectively.
Odds for New LSU Football Coach for Next Season
by Raphael Esparza - 9/30/2016
It has been about a week since the football program in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, fired Les Miles at LSU, and now the college football world and betting world are wondering who will coach LSU next! It's no secret the Houston Cougars head coach Tom Herman is the betting favorite, but I don't see Herman leaving his situation at Houston to join a SEC team that has to battle Alabama and the rest of an SEC tough schedule.
Weekly Big Ten Betting Report: Expert Predictions and Analysis
by Chris Vasile - 9/29/2016
Week 4 of the college football season saw Big Ten conference play get underway with four games on the schedule, and for the most part there were no shocking results. Nebraska and Michigan both won SU and ATS, while Iowa was able to squeak by Rutgers, failing to cover the 14-point spread.
NCAA Football Mid-Major Free Betting Picks: Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders Week 5 Predictions
by Aaron Smith - 9/28/2016
It's time for another edition of the college football mid-major betting report. The Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders are the team in focus this year. They are a team that some have picked to rise toward the top of Conference USA this year.
NCAA Football Betting: Fading the Top 25 Weekly Free Picks - Week 5
by Aaron Smith - 9/27/2016
It was a banner week for the Top 25 last week. Did that mean the Fading the Top 25 free picks got crushed last week? It absolutely did. While none of the plays were big selections, an 0-5 week is always embarrassing. Oops. How did the overall Top 25 do against the spread? There were 14 teams in the Top 25 who covered the spread and only six teams who failed to cover the number.
Free College Football Picks: Louisville at Clemson Odds and Expert Predictions
by Trevor Whenham - 9/26/2016
For the first time since 2002, we have three games between Top 10 foes in the same week during the regular season. You could have a heck of a debate about whether this one or the one featuring Wisconsin is more shocking. What isn't debatable, though, is that Louisville has far, far exceeded expectations.
