2025 NFL Draft Betting: Top 5 and Top 10 Picks Best Bets

The 2025 NFL Draft will be underway in just a few days and with that, it is now time to build your own big board of bets on your bet slip. As the draft inches closer, we have not seen any significant trades that have shaken up the Day One order, but this will inevitably change before we reach the 32nd pick on Thursday night. The Tennessee Titans seem content on holding onto the first overall pick and taking Cam Ward while the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants go back and forth at which direction they want to go. As teams begin to lock in on their guy, let’s lock in and build a profitable bet slip.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Selecting the Top Five
With the Titans locked in on Ward with the first overall pick and Travis Hunter and Abdul Carter (the two best players in the draft) waiting in the wings, there are two more players needed to fill out the Top Five.
The Browns and Giants are certainly considering drafting Shedeur Sanders with their top selections, but both franchises may focus on the safe pick with the top two prospects being available at two and three.
Unless the Browns or Giants take a risk on Sanders and one of Hunter or Carter is available when the New England Patriots are on the clock, expect the Patriots to sturdy up their offensive line with the best tackle available in the class, Will Campbell (-430 to be a Top Five pick). There are plenty of talented skill players that will be available on Day Two for the Patriots to provide Drake Maye with some weapons; with the fourth pick they will take Campbell to allow their young quarterback some time in the pocket.
Now the fifth pick gets a little more interesting. Jacksonville could be looking to trade back to add some more draft capital and there may be some suitors who want to jump the Raiders in order to draft Ashton Jeanty. If the Jaguars stand pat is largely believed they will take Mason Graham to further reinforce their solid defensive line. The running back needy teams will likely be satisfied with the Day Two pool and pass up on sending additional draft capital to jump ahead of the Raiders to take Jeanty. Unless some general manager wakes up and chooses chaos, expect the Jaguars to retain their fifth overall selection and take the big man from Michigan (+105).
If the Browns or Giants take a risk on Sanders, Campbell would likely fall out of the Top Five, but when it boils down to the Top Five selections you essentially have three players vying for two spots. Here is what the draft board will look after the Top Five.
My Pick: Exact Top Five Order - Ward, Hunter, Carter, Campbell, Graham (+165)
Remaining Top 10 Odds
Following along here to finish out the remainder of the Top 10, we have already seen Ward, Hunter, Carter, Campbell and Graham go in the Top Five. With Jeanty still on the board, expect to hear his name called with the sixth overall pick as the Raiders strike gold without having to move up. Jeanty has +105 odds to be drafted by the Raiders.
Here is where I think it gets interesting. Darren Mougey is going to make his mark in his rookie season as the Jets general manager by cornering the New Orleans Saints. Yes, Tyler Shough and Jaxson Dart may have similar floors as Sanders, but the Saints will value the higher ceiling of Sanders and fall for Mougey’s trap, willingly. Mougey is going to call over to the Saints war room and let them know that they are going to take Sanders at seven and the only way the Saints will land Sanders is by swapping picks with the Jets. New Orleans will send the ninth pick, the 93rd pick, and the 184th pick to the Jets for the seventh pick in order to draft Sanders. Sanders has +550 odds to be drafted by the Saints and +135 odds to be a Top 10 pick.
Sandwiched between the Jets and Saints are the Caroline Panthers who will get the top remaining defensive player in the draft in linebacker Jalon Walker (-900 to be a Top 10 pick) to rebuild the leagues worst defense last season.
In this scenario, the Jets were able to add two Day Three selections from the Saints while still landing their guy in offensive tackle Armand Membou (-280 to be a Top 10 pick) from Missouri. This will mark the second consecutive season the Jets spent their first-round pick on an offensive tackle with Membou joining Olu Fashanu.
The Chicago Bears round out the Top 10 and they will be looking to find Caleb Williams a new weapon. Tight ends Tyler Warren (Penn State) and Colston Loveland (Michigan), running back Omarion Hampton (UNC), and wide receivers Tetairoa McMillan (Arizona) and Matthew Golden Jr. (Texas) will all be considered here. Chicago can add a running back to backup D’Andre Swift in the later rounds while there will be plenty of wide receiver talent that the Bears could draft with either of their two second round picks, leaving tight end as the desired position here. Warren is incredibly similar to that of George Kittle as a do it all player with speed and solid blocking potential. Expect Warren (-175 to be a Top 10 pick and +290 odds to be drafted by the Bears) to round out the Top 10.
To recap, here is how the first 10 selections of the draft will go, Ward (-20000 to be 1st), Hunter (-1000 to be 2nd), Carter (-600 to be 3rd), Campbell (-380 to be 4th), Graham (+125 to be 5th), Jeanty (-125 to be 6th), Sanders (+2000 to be 7th), Walker (+130 to be 8th), Membou (+1400 to be 9th), and Warren (+350 to be 10th).
