2025 Kareem Hunt Super Bowl Props: Odds and Expert Betting Picks

With kickoff just two days away for Super Bowl LIX, the sports betting market has never been more abuzz. The sportsbooks have a plethora of player props available for all of your favorite super-athletes as well as lesser-known guys like the Eagles' wideout Jahan Dotson.
I’m sure you probably know Kareem Hunt, though. The native of the great football state of Ohio, Hunt began his playing career with the Kansas City Chiefs, only to be released after a video came out of him kicking and shoving a woman outside of his residence. The charges were eventually dropped after she stopped cooperating with authorities.
Hunt's background, particularly his immediate family tree, has been riddled with felonies, assaults, and jail time. It's no excuse for his behavior, but his extended family considers him a miracle for making it out of there and into the NFL.
He’s an incredible story and has benefitted most recently from Isiah Pacheco’s fibula fracture that occurred back in September of last year. Kansas City was desperate to sign anyone. And even though Hunt has averaged only 3.7 yards/carry in his return to his former team, at least they’re winning. Here they are in the Super Bowl again.
We have several prop bets and predictions for the Toledo alum today. We’ll start with the most popular one I can’t stop hearing about.
Doc’s Sports offers NFL expert picks for every game on our NFL predictions page.
Hunt Anytime Touchdown Scorer: +140
Hunt has become a reliable option in the red zone and scored a touchdown in four consecutive games for the Kansas City Chiefs. As much love as the Philadelphia Eagles defense has received by the media, myself included, they rank 11th in yards per rush allowed on the season.
Thankfully for them, they've built significant enough leads in most of their games, evidenced by allowing just 24 carries per contest, which was good enough for 6th in the league, that they haven't needed their run defense to carry them.
The Eagles, however, just don't allow many rushing touchdowns. In that statistic, they ranked 2nd in the NFL throughout the regular season, giving up just 0.6/game. For that reason, but more so because of the relatively small payout, we will reluctantly pass on this play. There are plenty of pundits out there who like it, though, if you insist.
Pick: Pass
Hunt or Dallas Goedert to Score the 1st Touchdown: +500
It's not that I hate the Hunt anytime touchdown scorer bet. It's more of the puny payout of just (+140) that I don't like. On the other hand, this play, Hunt or the Eagles' tight end, Dallas Goedert, to score the game's first touchdown for 5-1 is much more appetizing.
Goedert is like Hunt in that his team is becoming more and more confident in him as the weeks progress, particularly throughout the postseason.
The team doesn’t have to be inside the opposing 20 either for this one to hit. He has receptions of over 24 yards in all three playoff games and catches of 17+ in five straight.
You can take either player to score a touchdown in the game for (-130), so one of them getting into the end zone is within the game's narrative.
It’s a flyer, but I favor the Chiefs to trust in Patrick Mahomes later in the game. And with KC’s likely strategy of stopping Saquon Barkley early on, Goedert could have an opportunity to catch a touchdown pass in the 1st or 2nd quarter.
Hunt Under 53.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards: -112
I want to go under Hunt’s rushing and receiving yard total this week for a couple of reasons. For one, he is dealing with a quad injury. And while all signs point toward him playing, I don’t think KC will lean on him as much as they did down the stretch of the regular season and over their two previous playoff games.
Another reason I like him to go under his rushing and receiving yard total is because Pacheco has now had two full weeks to rest and recover. Hunt has filled in nicely, but there's a reason Pacheco is their No. 1 guy when he's healthy.
Pick: Hunt Under 53.5 Rushing and Receiving Yards: -112
Hunt Under 11.5 Rushing Attempts: -127
These odds have been hit already, but that's a good sign. Typically, I would say chase the plus money on props. However, in the Super Bowl, the public and the wise guys have had ample time to do their homework.
I like Philly to have a lead for most of the game, which would bring down his rushing attempts. We have the reasons listed above for the previous prop bet on our side as well.
Pick: Hunt Under 11.5 Rushing Attempts: -127
