Week 14 NFL Odds - Lookahead Lines - Picks & Best Bet Predictions
Happy Thanksgiving Week to all! I sincerely hope you get to indulge and be grateful. It’s impossible to be sad while you’re being thankful for what you have. Just don’t forget to forget all of that by 5:00 AM on Black Friday when you and the senior citizen both grab the iPhone 16 at the same time.
I can't tell you what to do from there. That one's on you, but I can give you some best bets for next week's games. Right now is one of the best times to bet the lookahead lines for Week 14. I already feel good about getting ahead of most bettors, but hardly anyone is looking ahead to next week. There's simply too much food and too many good deals in the stores and online to be thinking about the second weekend in December.
Betting the lookahead line comes with its risks, of course, primarily injuries, but anything can happen. I've found so far, however, that it's been more of a trade. More often than not, we get positive expected value on a bet. One time, the Denver Broncos went from (-4) to (-13) and covered both.
A different example is the Detroit Lions vs Houston Texans. That was a wild game with a lot of scores and turnovers, but it still ended with a margin of victory of 3. We tipped Detroit on the lookahead at (-2.5) because in all likelihood it would surpass 3 and get to 3.5. It actually got all the way to 4 points before kickoff. The (-2.5) was never available on the current line. The only way you got that was the lookahead.
We are now 17-8 this season on lookahead lines best bets. I don't want to jinx anything, but we have won our last 6 and 8/9. Let's jump into a couple of best bets as well as list all of the Week 14 lookahead lines.

NFL Week 14 Lookahead Lines Best Bets
Cincinnati Bengals (-6.5) at Dallas Cowboys Odds (+6.5) Total: 45
(Dec 9th at 8:15 PM Arlington, TX)
The Cincinnati Bengals travel to Arlington, Texas, to play the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football in Week 14. Dallas quarterback Cooper Rush is becoming more and more comfortable with the offense and has surprisingly thrown for more than 600 yards in his previous two starts.
He's slightly banged up this week, but the team said he is expected to make his first Thanksgiving start. The Cowboys are betting favorites at (-4), as well.
It's no secret the Bengals have been an over team this year, and they had their first bye last week. With both teams fairly well-rested on a long week, offenses should be clicking. I'm not sure how much EV we'll get here, but if Rush looks decent again this week, we might see the point total climb north of the key number of 47.
Pick: Over 45
New Orleans Saints (-3.5) at New York Giants Odds (+3.5) Total: 42.5
(Dec 8th at 1:00 PM East Rutherford, NJ)
Believe it or not, these two teams are headed in opposite directions. The New Orleans Saints had a bad head coach in Dennis Allen. We don't need to highlight his failures any longer. Just look at how hard his former team is playing without him. They had a bye last week and have a favorable matchup at home with the LA Rams, who are not known to be a physical team.
New Orleans kept up the intensity for two games after Allen was fired, which I like because many times, these bad teams only have so much emotion and focus to give. They played their hearts out for two games and got their bye week at a good time.
The Saints aren't that bad, though. New Orleans started out the season super hot. Before long, they were decimated by injuries early in the year, including quarterback Derek Carr. The defense got lazy and quickly became the worst tackling team in the league.
The team has come around, and even though their chances to make the playoffs have dropped below 5%, they're competing hard.
Maybe we face some funky weather and the deep ball of Carr isn't as effective, but I love the (-3.5) right now. This is one that could be 5 or more by kickoff.
On the other side, New York is playing atrocious football, and cutting Daniel Jones, while it may be the best move for the future, makes them even more ineffective.
Pick: New Orleans Saints (-3.5)
